| Weekes announces semi-retirement Having played in two spells with the club over the past 6 or so years, I have become extermly fond of the playing for the Tos. I have seen the team grow from 7 young lads, who all went to school together get kicked about the blue carpet regularlyachieving mid table respectabiliy, to a top 4 team of men who are capable of beating anyone in the Token league. I loved the early days with Box, Weekes, Box at the back with the Don and Growler terrifying the opposition and when I came back for my second spell I admit I may of had my doubts about the new recruits. But my god those doubts have long since been banished, the new team looks stonger than ever before - LARD have been top rate for the past few years and Curtis has always done a solid job when called upon. I think a special mention is required for Stevey Box, for keeping the Tos team alive back in the dark days when many of us were lured away to Canterbury and Uni football. I do not see this as the complete end, I hope that I will pull on the navy number 2 again. But with me now living in Bromley and no motor as yet the traveling was not only time consuming and costly, it also affected my game. A fact most clearly evident in my last performance, which I felt did not match up to my own and Tos standards. I now have two games to go before the end of the season, two games in which I will give 110%, in the hope that teams above us slip up. One defeat this season will not be a bad way to go out, lets just make sure it is only one defeat and we don't make any more mistakes. PS - I would also like to point out that the ridicilious bias I have recieved from Ken especially over the past few months has been a strong influencing factor. TOS 11 aside Team UPDATE - The GOOD INTENT IS KITTED UP AND READY TO GO Weekes disclaimer, you are not allowed to take the piss out of any grammar or spelling mistakes, so FUCK OFF! |
