That favorite subject, myself. Hmmm. Well, I'm the mother of the coolest kid on the planet, Olivia Luka (this is what she looked like in 1991 when she was born) . |

I actually got my bachelor's degree in Music Theory and Composition from West Virginia University in 1988. After a few years of going to Grateful Dead shows, growing a big garden, and swimming in the Tygart river in Barbour County, WV, I decided to get a law degree. You see, this asshole tried to put the hugest landfill on the planet in my backyard, and he stupidly sited it right over an abandoned coal mine, so he could most efficiently pollute our groundwater with garbage juice. When I tried to read his proposal at the library, I didn't understand a word of that legaleze. So I decided to learn how, by going to law school. Now I'm the Executive Director of West Virginia Senior Legal Aid, Inc., a non-profit corporation that provides free legal services to senior citizens in all 55 counties of WV. |

I was born in 1966, I used to be a vegetarian (well, I ate deer). I usually have a vegetable garden every summer, though our growing season is short here in the mountains. Though most of my buddies think of me as a lefty liberal, I feel a bit conservative when I'm hanging out with the anarchists, socialists, and commies I know and love. I like to be around as many different kinds of people as possible, and hope every person feels free to be him or herself around me. |
