troubles

SHS is under construction. The place was a shit hole. There were holes in the celing...and floor. Every time it rained we had to get out the buckets. The janitors don't REALLY clean so it's really dirty. The bathrooms are full of smoke and there's never any toilet paper. But all and all the place was a mess. So now we have construction workers invading the halls. But honestly, we would have had better luck having the tech crew (backstage in drama-build sets and stuff) do the construction. It would have been done faster too. The mistakes they've made so far? oh so many...
-They put in a brand new toilet. did all the plumbing and everything. They finished and had actually done a pretty decent job. So some guy is walking around and notices a bucket of left over cement. (yes, this is a paid construction worker) So he figures, "hey! what the hell? I think I'll pick up this bucket of wet cement and walk over to that toilet over there...you know...that new one we just put in...and I'm gonna dump this bucket of cement in that new toilet. sounds like a good idea to me!" yeah...good job buddy...
-in the auditorium they looked at the seats and thought they were fine and they could leave them there. No problem, right? so next task, work on the celing. do they cover the seats? oh...of course not! Did they get plaster all over the seats?? oh yes... so what do you think they did when they were done and the seats were plastered? THEY COVERED THE SEATS WITH PLASTIC! you know...like they should ave done before plastering them!
-Dark room...a dark room is supposed to either have 2 doors, a rotating door, or a door with a wall behind it. That keeps the lights out. They put in ONE door which isn't light tight. The dark room (duh) is supposed to be painted black...I dunno why but it makes sence to me... well...it didn't to them. they painted it white. Then the dark room has special lights which are either red or orange so it doesn't ruin the paper we print on. they put in a bunch of florecent spot lights. Tehre are also supposed to be patitions (small walls) between each enlarger so that up to 5 people can be printing at once. none!
-They've started a new stage. we have to go upstairs to get downstairs. we walk through a hall in which they've ripped up the floor. There are now asbestos signs up all over the halls we were walking in 3 weeks ago. then people got worried and they said, oh, don't worry...it's just when we rip up the floor. but they ripped up the floor in that other hall way then realized we had to use it to get to the other half of the school. so is there asbestos in there too? WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!
