Layering images is the foundation of Adobe After
Effects. The opening animation focuses on layering and depth. The background
images are taken from the American Sign Language. My name is "signed" in the
background while, in the foreground, a large, sweeping light sequence
scrolls through it. Working with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and After
Effects allows me to create 2D animation that ranges from a clean, graphic
