Cars stop for YOU - Natalie

Last spring break my twin sister and I went down to Wilmington and tried to be extras.  Since the first day we did not get a spot as an extra, we went down to where the actors and actresses were filming and watched "Show Me Love" being filmed!  We were standing across the street, and we saw Josh on the other side of the street talking to some people.  My sister, being more adventurous than I, looked across the street, and dodging cars ran over and started talking to Josh!  I was so jealous, that without even looking both ways, I just started running across the street!   Realizing that there were four lanes of traffic coming straight towards me, and that they were not stopping, I stopped in the middle of the road, having no idea what to do.  Josh, being the kind gentleman he is, walked out in the middle of the street, and put his hand out to stop all the cars and guide me safely to the side of the road.  As we were on the other side taking pictures, I made the comment- "Yeah, the cars stop for YOU", and thats why he was smiling so big in the picture.  Josh was the most friendly of any of the actors, and loved taking pictures with his fans, and giving us autographs. 

The other actor who was almost as sweet was Meredith Monroe.  She had run to the bathroom in Leery's Fresh Fish while we were eating inside, and as she ran back out to continue acting, we asked her if we could get a picture with her.  She was in such a hurry, that she didn't have time for the picture, but promised us that if we waited she would find us and be kind enough to pose with us.  Much to our surprise, when the director yelled "Cut" and she was done filming the scene, she found us and signed autographs and took pictures with us.  She was as kindhearted as her character Andie! 

Going to Wilmington was a dream come true for my sister and I, and one of the most memorable experiences of my life.  It made me realize that the characters I am soo obsessed with, are really just normal people, who are concerned when people run in the street, and who have to go to the bathroom when there really is no time too.  Dawson's Creek is and will probably always be the show that I am the most obsessed with, but that is only because I have been lucky enough to see where and how its filmed, and been able to meet the talented actors of it!
