Be There In Spirit – Juli
It was totally awesome! My
volleyball team had a tournament in Austin, Texas (where Lone Star State of
Mind is filmed). We had been
playing all day long and we were SO tired (and we smelled really bad too).
We had won our pool and the team wanted to go out to eat to
celebrate, but K.C., Ashley, Gloria, and I wanted to go back to the hotel and
take showers. It was 9:30pm and we had to get up early to continue our
tournament. So we went back to the hotel. K.C. and I were walking
into the lobby and guess who was sitting right there! Joshua Jackson.
He was sitting in a chair with his back to us. I didn't know that
was him at first cuz I couldn't see him. We were walking by really
slowly. K.C. goes, " Dude, that’s him." I said," Nuh
uh." then he turned around and looked at me and I said, " HOLY
CRAP!" Then K.C. ran to get Gloria and Ashley and just left me standing
there with this dumbfound look on my face. He smiled at me and turned
back around. K.C. and them came back and asked him if we could take a picture
with him. I said," Wait, does anyone have a camera?" We
all shook our heads. Just then, as if God gave her a little push, my mom
walked in. I got some money and I ran in the gift shop and bought a
disposable camera. I came back out and gave the camera to Ashley's mom.
We posed tight for a picture and he put his arm around me. I was
like " Oh, baby!" (I didn't actually say that). We walked
outside with him while he waited for his ride. He and his friends were
going to a club. We talked for about...6 mintues-ish. He was SO
sweet! He gave us all hugs good-bye and he left. 5 minutes later
the rest of the team walks in and we bragged so bad. They all got pissed
cuz they went to Fuddrucker's instead. It was the best! Some of
them met him later, but all they got was an autograph. My coach was with
them and she said to him," Do you want to have breakfast with us in the
morning? You got those other girls really pepped up and we have to
qualify in the morning." He told them he had a shoot in the morning
but he'd be there in spirit. He made that the best tourney ever!
