Here are some of the other utensils used in the tea ceremony.

The Hartys and the Fathys both knew that this is a tool that is used in a Japanese Tea ceremony. It's Japanese name is "chasen". It is a whisk to mix the green tea, which comes in a powdered form, with the water. It is made of bamboo. The upper part splits into 60 to 240 fine slats with a knife. They are then bent in and out alternately, and woven with thread, which makes a whisk with a broader tip.

Here is an explanation of the tea ceremony from the Japan Kid's Website.
