February 15, 2003: Chicago |
It was a very cold day, around 20 degrees. Somewhere around 7,000 people showed up in a South Asian neighborhood at Devon and Washtenaw. Because it was primarily an Indian and Pakistani area, the people seemed very happy to have us there. People were smiling and waving from their apartments, restaurants, and store fronts. The smell of all the Indian food made me want to go back for dinner sometime |

March 16, 2003 Chicago |
A very nice day, around 65 degrees, reports say that around 10,000 people showed up in Daley Plaza, there was a rally, followed by a march through the loop, shutting down traffic. The cops were surprisingly well behaved. The only complaints I heard were about people writing on the Picasso sculpture in chalk, but some how I don't think Picasso would mind. |
P.S. i ran out of film during the rally, and didn't have any left for the march. if anyone has any photos of the march, please email them to me at [email protected] |

Good God what a night not to have a camera. i found some pictures on the internet, but they dont show the extreme police brutality that actually went on, i have however written an essay to give my fullest recollection of the shamefull events of that night, you can read it by clicking on the link below |
