-Singer/actress Bette Midler The Korean manicurist who Elaine believes is dishing her behind her back in Korean comes to see the show I’m supposed to be starring in. When she sits down and is then informed that my understudy will be on instead, she says, ‘No Bette Midler? What’s the point?’ The first time she said it, I fell on the floor. I’ve been saying it myself (and so does my whole family) ever since! |

-N.Y. Yankess owner George Steinbrenner My scene was supposed to be in a restaurant with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and her character and I both refused to sit at tables for one. I was shocked to find out that Julia’s father and I went to school together at Culver Military Academy. How old do you think I felt at that moment? |

Comedienne Molly Shannon of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" It was amazing when I auditioned, because all of the cast members, including Jerry, were trying to demonstrate how to walk without swinging their arms, and none of us could keep a straight face. I was in heaven when I got the job, because not only is Jerry one of the nicest, most giving actors I’ve ever worked with, he is the king of comedy. And, of course, the set had the best sugar-free peanut butter cookies. |

Actress Wendie Malick of NBC's "Just Shoot Me" It’s always a pleasure to play with a seamless ensemble, but I was especially fascinated with the elasticity of Michael Richards. It’s like watching a bigger-than-life Fred Astaire... on acid! |
