secrets sre bad, mmmkay
As you may or may not know, Neil Gaiman is my favorite modern writer. His novels Neverwhere and American Gods, not to mention Good Omens or Stardust, I personally believe are some of the world's finest fantasy. Although it was his first major contribution, the comic book, The Sandman, that may be his most remembered work, though I expect him to outshadow even that. It was a brilliant series, some (me) would say the very best comic book series ever, involving a seven siblling set known as The Endless. Each was an immortal incarnation of seven basic archetypes. Dream was the Sandman, Death and Delirium were his sisters while Destiny and Destruction were his brothers with Desire and Despair being androgynous. This is a very brief, if not unfair synopsis, but this is not here to be a summary. I am writing this here because I was curious what their websites were incarnated as today. As as a sort of where are they now? So I looked them up and it made me laugh and think and ponder if it would enertain others. So I made this page. Hope you don't mind Neil or anyone assocaited with that amazing series, if you object let me know and I will let Destruction in.

.com site sells you every aspect of her realm, from caskets to insurance but what made me smile was the searchbar that said "Search for anything here."
.org site was written in an unfamiliar language, I think lawyer,
kept seeing the word wrongful
.net wanted to change the way you feel about grief and loss

.com was of course a porn site
.net was for sale
but the strangest was
.org they wanted to enhance information networks across Europe in the fields of Resource Discovery and Direct Services (weirdos)

the Sandman himself was not to be found, fittingly
.com was a kinda Japanese yahoo (maybe)
.org was nothing
.net was a dynamic wave telecom company dealing with large satellites
even
thesandman.com was disappointing, it was about matthew sands
p.s.
daniel.com refused entry to me
all likely!  = /

was also not around but was more promising
.com had a big blue sign said "Coming Soon" (lol)
.org was oddly about a sixth grader boy

.net was a grey nothing leading away mostly
.org was a typical blog slightly weird
but
.com was cool, a very professional looking site made with flash and whistles and bells and while focusing on the obviously three most important things in the world, Creative, Technology, Strategy. At least very important to them and you too, as a wealthy client doing some extremely crucial, albeit expensive, task that noone has any idea whatsoever they actually do. Good job D!

.com was very annoying as acted like it would take you far but was only two small pages, made me want to smash my computer
.net and .org were for sale as was .biz
but
.biz had a poignant statement
"What you need, When you need it"

was my absolute favorite though
only
.com was a site at all,
it is Despair, Inc. where they sell crazy posters and other items ,
similar to those office motivational posters with clever sayings about teamwork or persistence but these are more realistic, like their Persistence one has two runners in a picturesque setting, the female on the right the male following after and reads,
"Let her go man, she's gone."

copyright 2005 (except for the sandman names and likenesses)
sweet susurrations
slide down my dry throat like poison berries and although
i know this mad fruit be bitter
likely fatal
i know
i will dine on these words
every time and time agains
