General Computer Skills
Windows 98 - XP: I have years of experience working
with Windows. This is a great help when problems occur. I
have always been good with finding and repairing both minor
and major system problems, with minimal data loss.
Mac OS 6 - 10.4: I have always preferred using a
Mac over a Windows machine. I have been working with Macintosh
computers since 1989 when public schools began using them.
I currently own a Mac, and I have extraordinary knowledge
and experience with the in's and out's of Mac OS X (10.1
- 10.4).
Hardware: A key part of computers is knowing how
they work. I have a great knowledge of many different components
inside a computer. This helps when diagnosing and repairing
problems. I have also fully assembled a PC from parts. I
setup the BIOS, installed the operating system, then installed
drivers and software.
Networking: What good is a computer if it can't talk
with the other computers? I have had experience setting up
two different Local Area Networks. One of these included
networking both Macintosh and Windows computers together
with common peripherals (printers, and a scanner).
