I developed a character which embodied these tendenencies to the utmost extreme. Consequently, all my material possessions were cut up into squares and organized within my own living space. While developing this character the lines between fiction and reality became slightly obscured. By creating the work within my own space I actually began to recognize this character within myself. This frightening realization is one of the reasons why in my more recent work I have made the move from real people to surrogates, marionettes and friends.
