Ceasar

- Both doing the wrong thing

- Both very noble and powerful

- They both ended up being self centered.

- Very Intelligent

- Both highly respected throughout Rome

Brutus

- Honorable

- Very kind

- Loved his country more than life

- Respected his wife, Portia

- His strength, honor, also turned out to be his weakness

- Sometimes, he isn’t good at making decisions

Although Ceasar and Brutus were similar in some ways, they were actually very different. The two are almost completely opposite. Ceasar, was a selfish, rude, power-hungry person. In the other hand is Brutus, who is possibly the most noble man in Rome. He is very kind, and honorable and he says he loves his country more than life itself.

 

Calpurnia

- Ceasar’s wife

- Very weak depends on him

- She predicts Ceasar’s death before it happens

- Has a dream where Ceasar its raining blood

Similarities

- They were both intelligent

- Well respected because of their husbands

-They both cared for their husbands

Portia

- She is the wife of Brutus

- Strong willed

- Stands up for herself

- Stabs herself in leg to prove she can keep a secret

- Always tries to help Brutus

- Loved Brutus

 

 

Just like their husbands, Calpurnia and Portia were two very different women despite there similarities. You can tell by their personalities. Calpurnia was a weak willed woman and, depended on everyone else to help her and do stuff for her. In the other hand, Portia was a very strong willed woman, and she always stood up for herself and her husband. The husbands and wives in the play are perfect for each other because Ceasar and his wife Calpurnia were both weak willed and selfish and power hungry, whole on the other hand, Brutus and his wife Portia were strong willed and honorable
