On the internet, briefly research life inside the trenches; evaluate what type of life these soldiers lived.

Life in the trenches was very hard. First of all, soldiers were always faced w/the prospect of being killed or permanently disabled. So overall, these soldiers lived a very scared life. Most of them ended up committing suicide because of all the troubled sights they saw throughout their lives, and others were just tired of the war. Solderis can get lice, trench fever, and trench foot. They didnt have much food, and much of food was contaminated by rats. Water is all dirty, and you get dysentery, which is a case of the runs. When it rains, the trenches can get muddy, and collapse. They never get enough sleep, and eventually they almost go crazy.
