"Well I didn't know we were being spied on." Michelle retreated to the shallow end of the pool, with Justin close behind.
"Then you probably didn't know we saw you last night either." As soon as the words began leave his mouth Angie was shooting looks at him.
"Nothing gets by women." Justin rested his arms around her hips.
"Ecspecially not that one, when it comes to my love life." Her tongue shot out at Angie.
"Just watching out for my girl." Angie tried to redeem herself.
"Uh huh, sure." Michelle turned to face Justin with his arms still laying around her. "You better watchout for that one, she sees you so much as glance at another women, you'll be history. With or without my consent." Her giggles echoed throughout the room.
"Hell yeah." Angie half shouted from the other side of the pool where Lewis had her pinned against a wall, his mouth attacking her neck.
"Well, things are getting a little too steamy in here for me, I'm gunna catch a shower." Justin watched Michelle climb the stairs.
"I'll join you." He blushed when he realized how it sounded. "Upstairs I mean." He tried to correct, but made it worse.
"I'll see you after your shower." Michelle smiled at him before leaning down to kiss his cheek.
"Yeah." He watched her walk out of the pool room as he climbed the stairs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh hi." Michelle walked out of her bathroom to find Bailey sitting on her bed. She tugged at her towel, trying to cover as much as possible.
"Hey, how was your night?" She knew he was trying to read her eyes.
"Good, yours?" She walked into her closet, and left the door open. From where Bailey was on the bed he'd be able to hear her but not see her.
  "Just good?" He interrogated.
"It was very good, why?" She pulled on a pair of low cut jeans.
  "Michelle, what happened to you?"
"What do you mean?" She flipped through her shirts trying to decide on one to wear.
"Michelle, when we went out you were waiting for marriage for sex, what happened?"
"Correction, I was waiting for the right time, not neccassarily marriage, and I still am."
"Michelle how long have you been with Justin?"
"Since last night, but I don't think we are
together."
  "Then why did you?"
"Did I what? Have sex? Didn't happen." She rounded the corner fully dressed.
"Good." He stood to hug her. "Just watching out for you." He kept his hold.
"Why were you up that late?"
  "Talking to my girl."
"So when do I get to meet her?" She tousled her hair with a towel.
"You already have, you remember Venessa?" He threw himself back onto the bed.
"Yeah, the girl from junior year?" She sprayed some gel into her hair.
"Yeah, that's her. What you think?"
"Isn't she the one that cheated on you all year?" Her face turned stern as she looked back to him.
  "Yeah, but she's changed now."
"I hope so, for your sake. I know that you know what it is like to have someone cheat on you. Engagement makes it a hundred times worse." A knock at the door interrupted her lecture. Bailey stood and opened the door when he realized Michelle wasn't moving. Justin sauntered into the hostile room and took a place next to Michelle, thinking it would be safe.
"Michelle we'll finish this later." Bailey stood to leave.
"Beets, I know you are smarter than this. You saw what it did to me, think about your choices, while you still have them." She dismissed him with her eyes when she was done.
"You look mad baby." He stood so there faces were inches apart.
"I'm not mad, just dissapointed." Her towel flew to the hamper after a flip of her wrist.
"Let's go downstairs, see how your house guests are doing." He tried to take her mind off what ever was dissapointing her.
"Lemme get some shoes on." She dissapeared into the closet and he laid down on her bed. She returned to find him with his eyes closed. She stood silently looking down at him for a few seconds. "Come on, Juju Bean." She playfully jumped on top of him and tickled his sides. When he had his laughter under control he grabbed her hands to restrain her.
"Ok, downstairs missy." Chuckles were still detectable in his voice.
"Ok, fine, ruin my fun." Her tongue was exposed, then she was out of the room seconds later. He heard her footsteps run down the stairs, so he followed.
"Hey Lewis, seen Michelle?" He watched Lewis point to the kitchen from the couch, while keeping a finger over his lips. He nodded a thanks then tip toed into the kitchen. "Michelle?"
"Aaaarrrgggg." She grabbed him as she jumped from behind the fridge.
"Ooh scary." He kept her in his arms.
  "Well you could atleast try."
"How could having someone as pretty as you jump on me be scary?"
"If I was an obsessed fan, then you would be scared."
  "Yeah, but you aren't."
  "Ok, you win."
"What were you and Bailey talking about earlier?"
"His fiance." She pulled a Powerade from the fridge and held one up for his approval. "It's a girl that used to cheat on him all the time, I just want him to be careful." Justin was getting sick and tired of hearing about thier past, he didn't like knowing that they had one together. That another man knew her better than he had ever hoped of knowing her.
"Why do you care?" He kept his voice level.
"Because I have been there, and he is a friend." She explained preoccupied with disposing of the plastic from the top of her drink.
"How close were you and Bailey?"
"Pretty close, we used to talk all night about nothing. I guess we know eachother like a book now. And the stupidiest stuff, too. But we are like brother and sister now." She rested her brown eyes on his. She knew what he wanted to ask as soon as her eyes met his. "No we never had sex." She read his reaction, she had been right. She tried to see why, but couldn't read him as well as her closer friends. "Why?" The silence was heavy enough to bury her. "I am waiting for the right guy."
