| "Good morning guys." She smiled up at them as they filed into her office, each making himself comfortable. "Morning." They simotaneously greeted, as Justin climbed onto her desk, while JC gave her a knowing grin. She had confided in him that it slightly bothered her that Justin did this, because she had always been taught to sit politely in a chair. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" She looked around from guy to guy, letting her eyes rest on JC. "We are here to get you for the meeting." JC lost himself in her eyes, noticing the blues almost exactly matched his. "We still have a couple of minutes." She turned her attention to Justin, fearful JC's stare would unnerve her. "Yeah, so how are you going to entertain us?" Justin looked down at her from his place, then turned his attention to a framed picture he hadn't ever seen there before. "You are the entertainers, do something." She picked up the picture he was looking at, then held it up for him to look at. "That's my Mom and Dad." She pointed to the picture of her parents standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon. "Why aren't you there?" JC stood to look at the picture along with the rest of the men. "I was in class, they travel a lot." She returned the picture to it's place when all the men had taken a look. "How often do you see them?" Chris asked from his place in the closet, where him and Joey were looking through the papers. "About once a month, I guess." She gathered some papers, then stood, ready to attend the meeting. The men led her to the confrence room, then sat with her, waiting for Johnny. Justin took the seat across from her, JC the seat on her right, and Lance the seat on her left. "Hi guys, Brianne." Johnny entered the room, glancing up from the papers he was looking over. "Hi Johnny." They greeted, waiting for the purpose of the meeting to be revealed. "OK, we are just going to go over some things for next week. Brianne what meetings have you set up for the guys?" "They have three magazines, two Tuesday one Wednesday. They have a photo shoot Friday, and the rest of the week is empty." She reported looking down at her papers to make sure the information was correct. "Good, the rest of the time will be used for recording." Johnny ordered, looking to the guys for objections. "Can I have Thursday morning off, I can be in at twelve?" JC asked, and Johnny didn't object, knowing if JC was asking for time off it had to be important. "Ok, then all of you come in at twelve on Thursday." For thirty more minutes they talked about the next week, the CD release party that would be coming soon, and magazines the guys wanted to do interviews with. Finally, Brianne was able to return to her office, twenty minutes before lunch would begin. "Hey, mind if I come in?" JC peeked in at her, keeping the door half closed. "No, come on in." "So what are you doing for lunch?" JC settled himself into a chair, trying to catch her eyes. "Don't know yet, Justin hasn't told me." She giggled, still typing up a schedule for the men. She had been advised to give it to them on paper, or they wouldn't remember what time and where to be. "Well, you're going to lunch with me." "Does Justin know? He may not agree." She teased, sending the document to the printer. "I told him not to bother you today, you're all mine." JC winked, letting her mind wander at the possibilities. "OK, just come down when you are ready." She took the printed paper to the copier, ready to make the guys each a copy. "Ok, I'll be back in fifteen minutes, you better be ready." He jogged out of the door and down the hallway. Five minutes later she made her way to the studio, schedules and riders in hand. She had gotten Justin and JC's revisions, she still needed the other's. She stood outside the glass booth, watching the men sing, eyes closed, full concentration. A few seconds later JC stood, rolled his neck, and began singing with a passion she had never seen before. She watched as the veins in his neck began to bulge, and longed to hear his voice. From her place outside the studio she could see but not hear. She let her eyes wander over to a serious looking Justin, as he watched JC in anticipation, obviously waiting his turn. Soon the guys were leaving the booth, each waving to her through the window as they passed into the connecting room. "Come in." Lance mouthed, pointing to the door as he entered the room. "Hey guys, here's your schedule for next week, and I need you guys to go over these and tell me if any changes need to be done." She handed the papers out, looking to each for reaction. "Ready for lunch?" JC ushered her out the door before any of the guys had a chance to start a conversation with her. "Sure, what did you have in mind? Cafeteria?" She clutched her purse closer to her, letting JC's hand rest on her back. "No how about some fancy Sonic?" "Sure, I should spoil myself more often." His hand fell from her back, swinging dangerously close to her's on the way to the elevator button. "Bri, what time do you want to start dinner?" He pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, letting his hand graze across her cheek. "Well, anytime between five thirty and seven I guess." She stepped onto the elevator, JC close behind her. "Ok, I think I'll come straight from work." "Good, then you can help me with dinner." She smiled up at him, suddenly feeling the need to be in his arms. "I would love to." He inched in closer to her, letting her suffer while waiting for his touch. "I would love it, too." She whispered, wondering if he would ever bridge the gap between their lips. "Would you?" He licked his lips, purposely delaying the moment their lips would meet again. "Umm hmm." She listened regretfully as the elevator bell sounded, telling them their floor had been reached. JC quickly straightened himself, then ushered her to the car. "Bri." He turned to her once they were both seated, taking her hand from the seat and into his own. "Yeah?" She urged him to continue, readying herself for anything he had to say. "Would you mind if I did this?" He slid a hand over her cheek, gently pulling her closer, then pausing inches from her face. "Not at all." Barely above a whisper, she was astonished by her tone. "Good." He ran his lips across her's quickly, then slid his tongue across her lips parting them to allow himself access. "Mmmm." She licked her lips, slowly letting her eyes flutter open to look at the man that had just made her knees weak. "Well, we better get some lunch." He slid the car into first, then pulled out of the parking spot. |
