| "Hey come on in." She greeted a very adorable looking Justin, while he looked over his shoulder for anyone who may have seen him. "Nice place." He admired the hardwood floored living room, with modern decor, as he removed his coat. "Thanks, want the full tour?" She took his coat from him, hanging it in the entry way closest, ready to take him through the house. "Sure." He motioned for her to lead the way, and she did, leading him into the kitchen. "This is the incredibly under used kitchen." He looked over the homely looking kitchen, thinking of his mother's home cooking. "Doesn't look too under used." He pointed to a few dishes in the sink, then a list on a dry erase board, beckoning for her to obtain groceries at her next chance. "Maybe not as much as I'd like to think." She rubbed her chin, taking a moment to admire the beautiful kitchen. "Ok what's next?" "Upstairs, if you're willing." Nodding his head to tell her to proceede, he stepped out of her way. "This is the guest slash computer room." She opened the door of a room containing a futon, a desk with computer, a few bookshelves, and sparse decorating. "Looks lived in." He teased, letting his eyes take in every detail. "OK, enough teasing." She walked into the hallway. "This is a linen closest, a storage closest, bathroom, and here's my bedroom." She led him into the spacious room with two closests and a great view of the park behind her house. "Wow, I like it." He peered out the window, watching a mother and daughter attempt to fly a kite. "Thanks." She left the room, expecting him to follow her, but instead he stayed in his position, watching the people in the park. "Would you like to go play in the park?" Dumbfounded by his reaction to a park, she stood in the doorway, head quirked to the side. "No, how about some T.V.?" He turned from his place at the window, feeling the need to be around someone. "Good idea." She hopped down the stairs, then plopped onto the couch, Justin right behind her. "So what were you watching before I interrupted you?" He pulled a throw pillow from the edge of the couch, resting it in his lap for no apparent reason. "Friends." She clicked on the television, then began flipping through the channels. Suddenly, she dropped the remote into Justin's lap and jumped from the couch. "Oh my, I am so sorry!" She exclaimed, looking at him like she had done something horribly wrong. "What?" Justin stood to join her, or at least tried, she quickly sat him back down by his shoulder. "Do you need something to drink?" She took a few steps backward toward the kitchen, waiting for his order. "Anything you have is fine." He creased his eyebrows, slightly put off by her actions. A few minutes later she returned with two drinks, then handed him one before sitting on the couch. "I'm sorry, my Mom always taught me to make your guest feel at home." She put on her best motherly voice and tone. "A guest should never have to ask you for a drink, they should be served immediately." She playfully lectured, leaving the remote in his possession. "Sounds like I need to visit your mother, I have no problem being waited on." Justin flipped through a few more channels, then left it on MTV, chosing conversation over television. "Yeah, she's a really sweet woman. She'd love you guys." She wanted to tell him that JC may be a totally different story, but opted to leave her arguements with him at work. "Well, did you get any of your Mom's sweetness?" "Not a bit." She gave her best mean face, proving she was in fact what she said. "Sure." "I'm mean, you better believe it." She stood walking toward the kitchen yet again. "Popcorn?" "Yeah, I'll have some." He marveled at her hostess abilities, but began to wonder if she could sit still for five minutes. "Here we go." She returned, setting the popcorn on the coffee table, and turning to him. "Can you sit still for five minutes?" Justin grabbed a handful of popcorn, taking a few pieces in his mouth, leaving the rest in his hand. "Of course, I have to sleep sometime." She winked, grabbing some popcorn for herself. "I'm sure you clean house in your sleep." "Not lately." She retorted, enjoying his casual demeanor, and friendly attitude. "Good, so you got psychiatric help?" He rolled his neck, readying himself for her response. "Yeah, finally." She playfully lowered her head, sighing with frustration. "So, how did JC make his good impression on you?" Justin reached for the popcorn bowl, keeping one eye on her. "Let's just say he wasn't the nicest person that day." She thought for moment. "Or today either come to think of it. He must not like me." She shook her head at him, waiting for her to join him. "It is unusual for him to act that way. Maybe he was just having a couple of bad days and you caught him on both." Justin tried to make her feel better, and hoping she would share more details from the day. "Yeah, maybe tomorrow he will feel better." She sounded convinced, certain her tone would convince him also. "I'm sure he will." Justin turned his attention to the television, careful to give her a second to compose herself. "Is this you guys?" She pointed to the television were the video for Girlfriend was playing. "Yeah, what do you think?" He watched her nose crinkle in thought, while her eyes obsorbed the whole scene. "It's good, I like the song." She turned her attention back to him, suddenly getting the feeling he wasn't satisfied with her answer. "It's a very good video." She assured, setting her hand on his knee for affect. "Thanks." "Your welcome, was it fun to shoot?" She observed the video for a few seconds more, taking in every action by every member. "Yeah, you should come to our next one, it will be fun." Justin watched her slide her hand from his knee, fearful he had said something wrong. "Sounds like fun." She pulled the pillow from his lap to put in her own, rubbing her hands across it. "Good, you'll probably be there anyway, do you know if you are going on tour with us yet?" "No, Johnny hasn't said anything, but anything's possible." She bit her lower lip, not sure if she'd want to be on tour with the guys, not to mention close twenty four hour a day contact with JC, who apparently hated her. "Brianne, you mind if I call you Bri?" "Not at all, my friends call me that." She stood, taking the now empty popcorn bowl into the kitchen. "Well, Bri, Fraiser is coming on so I am going to change the channel." He called to her, already using the remote. "Fine with me, I love that show." |
