Chapter Thirty Four
"Justin, I'm here!" She called into the apparently empty house, not sure how she had been talked into what she was about to do.
"Great, come upstairs." She followed his voice to his bedroom, and pushed the door open to reveal a bare chested Justin.
"Could you put some clothes on?" She plopped onto the bed, not uncomfortable with Justin's bareness.
"Yeah, if you help me, which one?" He held up to shirts, in turn, to his chest, letting her examine each for a few seconds.
"The blue one, goes with the eyes." She closed her eyes, listening intently as the shirt was pulled over Justin's head then tugged to rest correctly on his body.
"Is that what you are wearing?" His eyes ran from the top of her head to her toes, then back up.
"Yeah, what's wrong with it?" She looked down at the button up, collared, three quarter sleeved shirt, and black pants.
"Nothing, just seems like something you would wear to work, in fact, I have seen you wear that to work." Impressed with his own memory, he smiled brightly at her.
"Well, now that we know that, can we go?" She pulled herself from the bed, quite literally, with Justin's help.
"Sure, are you okay?" He looked down at her with worry taking over his eyes.
"Justin, I agreed to go to a club with you guys, I'm not too sure I'm okay." She refused to meet his eyes and instead opted for leaving the room altogether.
"And showed up in work attire. I'm almost ashamed to call you my sister." He poked at her sides as best he could as her figure retreated down the stairs in front of him.
"Justin, watch yourself. You know that big brother, boyfriend thing can work both ways." She warned, her finger rising in the air to point at him, but not coming anywhere near his direction.
  "Where is JC?"
"He was right behind me. Must have stopped off somewhere." She pulled open the front door to find the remaining guys, as well as a few girls, talking in the driveway.
"There's the dork." Justin called and all the men looked up to see who he was refering to. Finally JC figured out it was him, and made his way to the two as they stayed on the porch.
"Umm, I missed you." JC pulled Brianne into his arms, swinging her around a few times before returning her feet to the ground.
"You're an oddball, we were apart all of what? Ten minutes?" She put her hands to his shoulder to steady herself, she really needed to start getting more sleep.
"Bri, you're worrying me." He informed, his eyebrows creasing in a way that reminded her of her father for a brief second.
"I'm fine. My sleeping schedule just kind of went haywire for a while there and it's just now getting back to normal." She went to the other guys, at least they wouldn't bother her about how she looked.
"Are we all ready?" Joey looked over Brianne's chose of clothing, and she was thankful it was her clothes and not face he was paying attention to. She knew she looked worn out and tired, and that's exactly how she felt. She let her glance travel to the girls draped over Chris and Joey, then to her own outfit. She looked like a nun compared to the two of them. They didn't look trashy, just most of thier clothes seemed to have been torn from their bodies. Apparently that was the look they were going for, because neither seemed too worried. She examined the cloth that appeared torn closer and realized it had been hemmed to look that way.
"You're riding with me." Before she could object, JC had seated her in the passenger side of his car and started for his own seat.
"I love you." Her hand instinctively rested with his when he had pulled out of the driveway and made it to fifth gear.
"I love you, too babe." His face went blank for a second and she turned her attention out the window thinking he was through. "Bri, do you mind if we leave a little early tonight?"
"Of course not." He had known it would work, and he started to wander off into his own world. Soon they were pulling into the parking lot behind Justin, the club looking livelier than the last time they had been there.
"Thanks." JC handed his keys to the valet, quickly being ushered into the VIP section along with the other guys and girls that had joined them.
"Have fun." She called to JC as he was led to the dance floor by a nameless girl, then looked around. Finally deciding to busy herself with a drink, she made her way to the door. "Shirley Temple please." The bartender obliged and soon she was sipping on her drink at a secluded table where she could still keep an eye on the guys. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves, and she was happy to see they were. Even Justin had a smile painted on his lips as he danced with a shy looking girl, who's hands barely touched him.
"Can I get you a drink?" A man she guessed to be a few years older than her, slid into the empty chair across from her and she flashed him a charming smile.
"No thanks, I have one." She lifted her glass to show him she had more than enough for the moment, and an embarassed look to his face.
"I guess I should have looked for that before I came over here to make an ass of myself." A nervous chuckle escaped his lips, and he raised his eyes to meet hers.
"It's fine." She kept an eye on Justin for any sign that he needed her assistance.
"How about a dance then?" He held out his arm for her and she glanced at JC, who was busy dancing.
"I'm sure it wouldn't hurt anything." She stood to meet him, taking a sip of her drink before doing so, then was escorted to the floor.
"I hope not." He chuckled, the nervous hint rising a little as his hands met her hips and he gave her a questioning glance.
"Your fine." She assured, setting her hands at his shoulders.
"So why the business clothes? You just get off work?" He leaned to call into her ear to be certian she heard him.
"No, it's Saturday. Is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?" She called back, frustrated that she had been asked that more than once.
"Nothing at all. It's just a little different from all the other girl's clothes?" He glanced around them to prove his point, his eyes growing at some of the girl's outfits.
"I like being different." She smiled at Justin when he came close, but soon he was dancing his partner to the bar much like he had done her before. Her partner pulled her a little closer, but she didn't object, they were still nearly six inches from touching anywhere that mattered.
