| "OK, I am going. You can stay here and be lazy all day." She teased. "When will you be back?" "Around noon, there is always a long wait at his office." "I'll see you then. I love you." "I love you, too." She got into her car and headed for the doctor's office. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hello, Ms. Rocio, take a seat. What are your simptoms?" "I feel light headed and my stomache aches." "You feel light headed all the time?" "No just sometimes." "Ok, let's get a urine sample and some other tests ran." "OK, where is the bathroom." "Second door on the left." He led her to the door and handed her a cup. She hated being at the doctor's office. She quickly filled the cup and returned to the examination room. She handed the cup to her doctor and watched him disappear. She sat down and let her eyes wonder along the wall. Her doctor left her sitting there for nearly half an hour. When he finally returned he smiled at her. "Ok, we found out what is making you feel this way." "What is it?" "You are going to have a baby." She almost fell over. "I.....what?" "You are going to have a baby." He said slower. "Wow, that's.....great." She beamed when it finally hit her. "You want to see it." "Yeah." He ran a sonogram and printed some pictures for her. She thanked him when he told her it was 76% likely a boy. She left the office and got into her car. She looked down at the pictures and thought of Justin. How will he take this? Will he be happy? How will I tell him? She drove around the city for nearly an hour trying to clear her mind. She finally made it back to her house and was greeted at the door by Justin. "Hey Angel." "Hey baby." He pulled a blindfold from behind his back and wrapped it around her head to cover her eyes. "What's this?" "It's a surprise." He whispered in her ear. "Baby, I have to tell you something." "Ssshhhh, you can tell me later." He led her into a room and sat her down. He gently removed the blindfold and let her look around. The room looked beautiful. There was flowers of all kinds all over the room. There was a TV directly in front of her. He turned on the TV and left the room. "See you in a minute." He said as he walked through the door way. A picture popped up on the screen. Justin was holding a video recorder and pointing it at himself. "Hello, Angel. It's me. I have a treat for you. Sit back and relax." He turned the camera to show a picture of her as a child. "There's my Angel when she was a baby, okay, Tiffany Rocio was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Michael and Ina Rocio. She had one older brother which would prove some trouble for her. She learned to read and swim when she was only three. A very busy year." He paused and picture of her in a swim suit flashed onto the screen. Seconds later it was replaced with a picture of her holdong a book. "At the age of five she started school and tennis." A picture of her holding a tennis racket flashed. "She was great at both and her parents were proud. Her father hired her a personal trainer so she could practice her talent." A home video of her on the tennis court talking to her father who was holding the camera played. "She was great at everything she tried. Tennis, cheerleading, dance, and much more. When she was only seven years old she won her first tennis tournament. A year later she won a dance competition and a cheerleading competition within weeks of eachother." Pictures of her at all three events showed while he talked. "At nine she found a new love, puzzles. Her father shared her love and they completed many within weeks of eachother." He ran the camera across the wall of puzzles downstairs zooming into some of the dates. "She found another love at the age of fourteen when her brother was sixteen. Working on cars." A home video of her and her brother showed. She had never seen it. She could hear her father talking. He was saying 'look at my little girl, working on cars with her big brother. She can do anything!'. She could hear the pride in his voice. "Now, we are going to skip ahead a few years. The year of.....ME! The day she found her one true love. It was a beautiful spring day a little over a year ago. I walked into her life and she changed mine forever. I love you, Angel." He looked into the camera. "You are my lifeline. And you always will be." He paused. "Okay next step. Go to where our game always ends." He turned off the camera and the screen went black. She didn't even have to pause. She knew exaclty where he wanted her to go. She walked into the pool room expecting to find him. Instead she saw the pool full of rose pedals and candles along the edge. She looked around for a clue about where to go next. She finally spotted a piece of paper floating on a floatie in the middle of the pool. What the hell? I've been in it fully dressed plenty of times. She walked into the pool and swam to the floatie. She pulled off the lamanated sheet of paper and swam back to the steps. Angel, Aaawww your all wet now. Oh well enough with the fake pity. Just playing. Ok your next mission should you decide to accept it is to find me. Maybe. Remember where we first played? Well good, but that's not where you are going. You are going to where you first shared one of your pastimes with me. If you know what I am talking about. If not, I guess the game is over and you don't get the prize! I love you, Justin She tried to think about what he was talking about. A pastime? Maybe the couch where she told him about her father? That's not a pastime, it's a memory. My father....puzzles! She ran to the library. The ceiling was littered with helium filled balloons. She went to the desk they had worked on the puzzle at. She didn't see anything at first. She searched the desk with her eyes then she saw it. A towel, she reached for it and noticed it was very cold. The workout room. She made her way to the workout room. There was a blanket laid out with a picnic basket. She looked around for Justin but he wasn't there. I have to eat by myself? She walked over and opened the picnic basket. It was empty except a note. Angel, If you want the real picnic basket you'll have to work for it. Tell me the "nickname" you gave me the first night we spent together. I'm listening..... "Bonehead?" She said playfully. |
