| "Too bad Lewie Bug couldn't come." Michelle said as she walked through the doors of the club. "Couldn't? You know he doesn't dance. He chose not to come." Angie shot Justin a look to see if he picked up the bug. "But he is a good dancer, we'll drag him out another night. Like my birthday, he'll have to come." She took a seat. "Chelly," Angie almost yelled to get her attention over the music. "We're going out for your birthday?" "Yeah maybe we can even talk these two hotties into joining us." Michelle's eyes ran from one startled face to another. Angie leaned over to whisper to her. "What happened?" "What do you mean?" "You're acting like...well you, before." "I know, it's time to move on." She brushed her hair out of her face as she straightened herself. "How about a dance?" She grabbed the nearest guy who happened to be Justin. "Sure." He said as if he had a choice, she was already tugging him toward the floor. "So how was your chat with my Angie Boo?" She questioned as she slid her arms around his neck. "Between Angie and Bailey, I know you better than you know yourself." "Enlighten me, what am I like?" She put her head to his chest as she giggled. "A handful for the most part." A rush of tingles filled his body as her shirt lifted and he felt the smooth skin of her lower back. "I knew that, you think it comes easily?" She smiled up at him. "For some people it does, but you, you must work hard for it." His eyes landed on Bailey and Angie who were dancing. Michelle followed his glance and smiled. "Too bad he can't have her either." Her eyebrows raised in amusement. "Either?" Justin squinted. "Yeah, she has a boyfriend." She knew that wasn't what he meant. "You look pretty tonight." He ran his eyes across her again. She was wearing a yellow baby t shirt and low cut dark denim jeans. "Thanks, you look great." She parted her hands and let each rest on the back of his shoulders. "I always do." He tried to take his mind off her hands, the skin, and her smile. "I'll give you that much. You drinking tonight?" She acted as if she wasn't even complimenting him, she just let it roll off her tongue. "Maybe, why?" He hoped she hadn't noticed the red in his cheeks. "I'll be designated driver. But I have to warn you, anyone not up to driving is staying at my house." He wasn't sure if he had imagined her licking her lips or if it had really happened. "Ok." He tried to level his voice. "So how long you in Seattle for?" She gently guided him closer. "As long as I want." He ran the words through his mind to make sure he hadn't said you instead of I. "Mind if I cut in?" Justin turned to see Bailey and Angie. "Sorry, he insisted." Angie said once they were out of earshot. "It's ok, you staying at Michelle's tonight?" "Yeah, Lewie's gunna meet me there. Why?" "I didn't want to be the only one." He lied. "Uh huh, sure." "So how was your conversation with Bailey?" He changed the subject. "Good, mostly about Michelle." "What about her?" "He's engaged, he's trying to find a way to tell her. He thinks it's going to hurt her." "Really? That's great." "I know, I mean for all of you." "So I finally get to meet the infamous Lewie." "Yeah, you'll love him." "Well if Michelle likes him, I'm sure I will." He chuckled. "Oh so my opinion doesn't matter?" She giggled. "A little." He teased. "Thanks." "For what?" Michelle startled them again. "Nothing." Angie turned to face her. "Mind if I steal your man?" "Lewis, no, this one I'll give up willingly." She stuck her tongue out at him. "Good, this is the one I want." She ran her tongue along her teeth. "Come on." She pulled him towards herself. "Yes maam." He slid his arms around her waist. "Guess what?" She whispered into his ear. "Huh?" He shuddered. "Bailey's engaged." She pulled away and smiled. "I know, Angie just told me." He tugged at one of her curls. "Grow yours out and play with it. No nevermind don't, I've seen that mop top." She ran her hands across the back of his shoulders. "Hey I happen to be very proud of that hair." He chuckled. "Let's have a drink. I want you good and drunk." She laughed as she pulled him to thier table and summoned the waitress with her hand. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well finally some peace and quiet." Bailey, Lewis, and Angie had decided to go to bed after an hour long chat in the kitchen. "Yeah." Justin was trying to figure out if she had been flirting. He couldn't read her as well as he thought. "You tired?" She was bright eyed. "Not really, why?" He was half scared. "How about a swim?" She grinned almost evilly at him. "In February?" He creased his eyebrows. "I have an indoor pool." "Ok. What do you suggest I swim in?" "Oh, darn. Ok, how about we watch a movie?" "You'll fall asleep." |
