Today Justin was taken to the hosp he spiked a fever again Yesterday was exactly a year since he was diagnosed and he wasnt feeling good all day so we waited it out and hoped for the best however by 4 am he had enough and told me that he was ready to go see Dr Leslie (his oncologist who he asks for when he doesnt feel good) He does have something viral however they didnt want to keep him since Justin always refuses to eat when he is in there. they are giving us 48 hrs to try and get him to eat and drink or else we will have to take him back again I just hope that he can be home this year for birthday cake Tomorrow my little angel will be turning 3 years old and I am so thankful that he is here to enjoy it with all of us

We are back from a long needed wonderful vacation Justin has his cast off and it doing great he scooches around on his butt he can try to walk in about 3 weeks Luckily he has started to take his meds again thanks to the dancing of his daddy and aunt weez Justin goes back to the hosp this friday for a spinal and bone marrow Kendall and Victoria have their 5 month appt this week Wait until you see pics of them all in the pool And we have a new addition Taylor Mackenzie Banks was born on 7-26-00 on her mommy's birthday 9lb 1oz 21 1-2 inch long she is sooooo beautiful and has a thick dark head of hair that you can put a barrette in already congratulations Kathy and Tom

Hi everyone
Things are doing much better with Justin right now had a few bumps in the road with the drs disagreeing with each other but in the end it worked out the best for Justin Justin still has his cast on and his next appt in on July 25 the orthopedic dr saw amazing healing in this last week which was a sigh of relief for all of us of course he is still a happy little boy and we have accomplished something else even with this full cast on Justin decided that he would like to be potty trained and now he is peeing in a cup and thinks he is the coolest things (of course he always was) could I be any prouder of my little boy?
Miss Kendall is kicking away and her toys and is in love with her daddy cannot get enough of him every morning they get up at 530 together and have breakfast Princess Victoria is talking away doesnt like the kicking as much but is still practicing and with her 4 chins she is the cutest ever I know that everyone want to see pics I have a whole roll that I am picking up this week and I will send them out soon promise Keep those prayers going

Kendall and Victoria had their 4 month check up this week Can you believe that they are 4 months old already Miss Kendall and 10 lb 6 oz 21 3/4 in long Princess Victoria is 11 lb 6 oz and 22 1/4 in long and of course with their shots kendall took it like a champ and Victoria turned purple again

Hello Everyone, This is DMW488's sister. Justin had a fever this afternoon so his mother took him to the hospital. However, she just called me now and said that he is being admitted because he has a fever and his counts are down again. She said he could be in there for a week but she is not exactly sure. This is an update from Dolores, Justin's Grandma. All I can say is poor little guy!! Hello everybody, this is DMW488's Mom. She asked me to send this out due to the fact that she is at the hospital. While walking down the steps today, in his stocking feet, he slipped down the last two steps and broke his leg!!!!!! Yes, that's right, I said broke his leg. They were on their way to Children's Hospital so that he could have his counts checked to see if he needed a transfusion. Well, they ended up at the pediatrician's office. He told her that there was a possibility that he'd need surgery. She immediately took him to Children's and had xrays done. Turns out, he broke his feemer (sp?), in other words, a bone in his thigh. It's so close to his hip though that he is now in a body cast, yes, I said body cast. They don't want to take a chance of him moving his hip. This little boy sweats like a champ and is now in a body cast with a hole at the bottom so that we can change his diaper through the hole. Needless to say, we won't be trying to do any potty training in the next (at least) 6 weeks. Due to the fact that he is on Chemo, there is always the chance that he won't heal properly and may need surgery at a later date or that the cast will need to stay on for longer than the usual 6 weeks. It is now 4:45 and they are still at the hospital. They are still waiting for the blood to arrive so that they can do his transfusion. With any luck, he may go home tonight. They had to get a special car seat for him due to the fact that his body is now in a semi-bent position (somewhere between laying and sitting) and they had to get a reclining wheel chair for him. I don't know what else to say. I don't know how much more this little boy can take. If anyone has any special connections with God, could you please pass the word that Dawn and Bill have ALL THAT THEY CAN HANDLE and it would really be nice to not have to worry about anything for a little bit. Dawn had asked me to make this a "cute" note but I don't feel very cute at the moment - sorry! Love, Dolores

Hi to Everyone We are happy to say that we are on our way to the countdown to MAINTENCE :O) HORRAY However we are not getting there smoothly Today justin had a spinal done and in the middle of it he decided to try and climb off the table with a needle sticking out of his back. Justin was not happy that DR Leslie was not there and on vacation according to justin she is not aloud to go anywhere when he has an appt. so this week we just have needles at home everyday in the leg and pills that we can hide in our TRIX YOUGURT thank god for trix lol then we go on monday for a blood count and go on from there Justin also adventured out at an Airshow this weekend with his cousins and he was like a kid in a candy store seeing eveyrone for the first time in months I loved seeing him sooo happy. Also thank you to everyone who is helping out with the Fundraisers Mommy and Louise are keeping us informed and everyone has been so kind and generous We are also trying to get out to as many companies as possible so we have plenty of gifts for all of you at the Benefits THANK YOU Now on to my little girls Kendall she had a dr appt on may 27 and passes with flying colors she now weighs 8 14 and is 20 1-4 in long and eating away boy does she love her cereal and also may i say that she is sleeping 10-7 at night. Princess Victoria weighed in at 9 10 and is 21 1-2 in long she is finally on the charts in the 10% range They have come such a long way and of course still has her lungs however they are much better since her lovely DR Larry came to visit her and gave her an Unwinding no more screaming for no reason she just likes to be heard now when she is hungry she is also sleeping 10-7 and I am loving that We had a over nighter at mom moms this weekend and I have no idea how we are going down the shore in august with everything can anyone say UHAUL LOL. Update on Saturday May 13, 2000 Hi to all of our friends and family FIRST I would like to thank all of you for the overwhelming response to our bowling benefit. It is very shocking to me that we have sold out practically and it is not even until July. This was just a trial before we have the beef and beer in october since I wasnt sure how the turn out would be however if you ask Aunt Susie this is exactly what she expected.

Now for my children JUSTIN ---- this little boy is having a very rough time this time around. His body is starting to reject some of the meds and he is having allergic reactions to medications that he has taking all along and now his body just doesnt want them. This week there were a few scary days where his legs and arms were swelling and he couldnt walk or we couldnt even touch him and he also has pms right now where sometimes you can just look at him and the tears come flowing out I CANNOT WAIT TO GET OFF OF ALL OF THIS MEDICINE. As of last monday his blood counts were white 1.3,hemo 11.7,anc 884,plt 186 so they are dropping fast and boy does he ever want to play with everyone and he is mad at his mommy everyday when i tell him that we cant play with our friends we are all looking forward to 4th of july when we should be able to come out of hibernation. Justin goes back to childrens on monday the 15th for more chemo

ON TO MY LITTLE HUNGRY GIRLS Kendall ------ as always never likes to be behind Victoria so she is eating like a champ and gaining away she is around 8 1-2 lbs and 19 inches long she is doing wonderful and is the nosiest little girl i know and she is definately the cuddler when i wake up in the morning she has her arm around victoria or else she scooches over to have her head touch hers

Victoria------- I wont keep a secret this one has her mothers lungs there is no warning for feeding time the vocal cords just start whaling away the funny part is when she starts that kendall just rolls her eyes at her. Victoria is about 9 1-2 lbs and 21 in long and only has about 3 chins ;o) and is developing the cutest smile when daddy kisses her nose.

Kendall and Victoria also had their hep b shot this week and neither of them turned purple I am very proud of them :o) Kendall and Victoria both go back to the drs on May 25 for their 12 week check up Can you belive it already.

Monday April 17, 2000 Update from Justin's Mom, Dawn Hello on saturday night victoria starting first with the vomit and diareaha then Dawn started and by 10 pm it was justins turn however with the chemo justin is not strong enough to fight off this stomach virus we came into the er at chop on sunday around 4pm they decided to keep him to monitor him all of his counts are up however once we were admitted he became very weak and refuses to eat or drink so i am keeping my fingers crossed that we will start eating soon so we can go home thanks to the mom mom 'S and aunt kelly the girls are being taking care of while daddy can still work we were hoping to be home by lunch today but now it is 213 pm and justin is getting weaker so we will see what happens i will update you all soon love DAWN

Saturday April 8, 2000 Hello everyone , Just an update to let all of you know things are wonderful (could use a little more sleep lol). Justin was at CHOP on april 3rd and that precious little boy didnt even let out a tear for his IV this week ( I wish I was that brave). He is still in maintence this month and we will start with the hard stuff right after easter. His counts were white 4.7, plt 236, hemo 11.7, ANC 2009 Justin loves his new sisters and he is the best helper in changing diapers and holding bottles. Now lets hope we have a good Delayed Intensification period because i am more then ready for the shore.

Kendall---- Miss Kendall is eating like a champ she wanted to catch up to her sister, didnt like being the smaller one Kendall was at St Christopers on April 6 to see a Cardiologist for a murmer that they heard in the NICU. It is still there and they are going to monitor her for the next 6 months to make sure that it is not a hole between 2 chambers however the Cardiologist is not concerned at all. She is thriving wonderfully and very alert . Kendall now weighs 5lb 6 oz and is 18 1-2 inches long. and yes she still has her little bald spot so we are able to tell them apart.

Victoria-- Our little angel Victoria (who likes to hold her breath for Pop Pop) also was at the cardiologist with the same exact murmur we are also going to watch her. Victorias blood pressure was much better then Kendalls also so that is something that we have to watch And if Victoria could stop pooping for a little bit we could make her tooshy better it is very sore right now but she doesnt mind laying around without any clothes on (just like their mom mom mancini and aunt val since they are having so many hot flashes lol) Victoria weighs 5lb 10 oz and is 18 1-2 inches long.

Their due date is April 10 and that is when they go back to the pediatrician to see if they can come off of the monitors and where we go from here. Justin goes back to Childrens on May 1st to start more treatment. We also have a tentative date planned for Kendall and Victorias Christening on July 16th.

Tuesday March 14, 2000 My Senior class helped raise money for Justin, and we also had the elementary students color pictures for him. HELLO TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS YOU HAVE ALL HEARD MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE WE HAVE 2 BEAUTIFUL NEW ADDITIONS TO OUR FAMILY TODAY KENDALL AND VICTORIA ARE 1 WEEK OLD ALREADY AND I CANT EVEN BELIEVE IT THEY ARE GAINING WEIGHT AND ALMOST OFF OF THEIR OXYGEN TUBES BILL AND I WERE ABLE TO HOLD THEM ON SUNDAY AND WE STARTED TO FEED THEM ON MONDAY EVERYTHING IS PROGRESSING WONDERFUL WITH BOTH OF THEM JUSTIN ALSO WAS AT CHILDRENS TODAY HE JUST SLIPPED ON BY WITH HIS BLOOD COUNTS THAT HE WAS ABLE TO START A MAINTENCE CHEMO TODAY FOR 7 WEEKS THEN WE START BACK ON THE HARDER CHEMO AROUND APRIL 24 THE PRAYERS HAVE DEFINATLY BEEN POURING IN AND THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WE HAVE BEEN GOING STRONG AND ALL OF OUR LITTLE ONES ARE FIGHTERS WE JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS FOR ALL OF THE SUPPORT THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN US ALSO WE HAVE HAD ALOT OF MSGS FROM YOU HOWEVER TRYING TO GO TO 2 HOSPITALS WE WILL BE GETTING BACK TO YOU EVENTUALLY THAT IS ONE THING THAT I AM GLAD FOR THE COMPUTER PLENTY OF YOU HAVE ALSO ASKED ME ABOUT INFO IN DONATING BLOOD FOR JUSTIN I DID ASK AT CHILDRENS AND THEY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO TO YOUR LOCAL RED CROSS AND YOU CAN DONATE IN JUSTINS NAME AND LET THEM KNOW THAT HE IS BEING TREATED AT CHILDRENS IN PHILA FOR LEUKEMIA love BILL N DAWN

ON FEBRUARY 28, 2000 AND VICTORIA ANN WENG (AKA BABY "B") 4 LBS. 6 OZS. 17 1/2 INCHES WAS BORN AT 3:55 A.M. ON FEBRUARY 28, 2000 THEY WERE BORN BY C-SECTION

MOMMY, DADDY AND DAUGHTERS ARE ALL DOING AS WELL AS CAN BE EXPECTED. MOMMY IS NOW RESTING AND IS EXPECTED TO COME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL ON THURS. OR FRIDAY.THE GIRLS WILL PROBABLY BE HANGING AROUND THE HOSPITAL A LITTLE LONGER. THEIR LUNGS ARE SLIGHTLY UNDERDEVELOPED AND ARE CURRENTLY ON OXYGEN.
