what I'm listening to right now

"Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation" - Just got this one, its really different from all of the other music I've been listening to lately. Lots of catchy melodies but also experimental songs and punk mentality. This is one of my favorite CD's right now, a classic in my eyes. |

"Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun" - A very strange strange band. Kind of like a cross between Radiohead and enya (sp?). Very beautiful stuff. I hear that they're popular in their native Iceland. Reykjavek is the place to rock! |

"Stone Temple Pilots - Shangri-La Dee Da" - Tough call. The album does have its highlights like "Days of the Week" and "Black Again" but I am still not sure if I like this one. Seems a lot more dark and brooding than all of their other albums. It will take a little more listening to decide whether this one is a keeper or not. |

"Weezer - Weezer 2001" - Another tough call. I really like "Island In the Sun" and "Hash Pipe" but the rest of the album is a little dull with few high points. However on a positive note, many of the songs are fun to play on the guitar. I'll give this one some more time. |
