(c) 1993, Justin Eiler
Notes: I wrote this for Eostara 1993. it works as a chant, though I guess I really should set it to some music one of these days....
(Chorus) Round the Maypole do we dance, Lightly round our faerie ring. Raise a cup to love and life In our merry rite of spring. Slow and stately do we start, Sunlight streaming to the ground. Earthly circles do we dance, Life's own power in circle bound. Faster now, our dancing ring Hears the path of power's song. Lord and Lady move as one, Hind and Stag, they dance along. Chorus Swiftly 'round the circle now, Lord and Lady, dancing, meet. Let the heat of passion rise, Heart and soul, hands and feet. Bring the power back to earth, Warm the soil and bright the sun. Life and love shall see new birth, Lord and Lady now are one.
