The Second
Today for the first time we were able to see the heart beat and, after a wake up call by the doctor, our Bambino moving with arms waving and legs kicking.
A quick orientation for those that might not have seen a scan, or have difficulty understanding them. On this
scan Bambino is lying on its back, with the head on the right, and the long diagonal part coming from near the rear to over its head is the umbilical cord. Its one foot/leg can just be seen behind this.I do have to add that seeing the picture frozen does not quite do it justice. It is quite amazing to see the ultrasound live. To actually watch the heart beat, or the legs kick and arms wave brings the point home quite sharply that this is indeed a little human being.
