A few of the animals that have passed through our lives:

Zeus, our first cat, arrived at our house in December 1999. My brother-in-law had been in Cape Town, and could not resist bringing him back to Johannesburg. His folks however were not the most pleased with the new addition, so he ended up with us.

Fluffy adopted us. There is no other way of putting it. After trying for weeks to scare her away, while I was away on a business trip Michelle began to accept her. While she never really became the friendliest of cats, she would accept cuddling or tickling, for awhile, before getting upset, giving you a quick claw and moving on. She was run over and killed.

Shena, an alsation cross with possibly rottweiler, was found by friends of ours at his factory. We have estimated her date of birth as being some time in December 2000. The first set of pictures were taken in my sisters garden. She was not the most please to have a puppy running around in her garden. Shena was about 2 months old then.
One. Two. Three. Four.

Chester was a kitten that I first noticed as I was reversing out to allow Michelle to go to work. He was terrified, and looked so lost that I had to take him in. He ate like a horse! Because he had no identifying collar on him, we took him to our vet. He was not able to find a chip on him either, so we agreed to host him while trying to find his owners. We put up posters for at least two weeks, and had begun to think that he might end up staying when we received a phone call. It turned out, as the vet had predicted, that his original home was a few meters up the road. It turns out his name was Whiskey.

This last picture is of a feline that doesn't belong to us, but we 'caught' this picture of her while on a game drive.
