This website is intended to promote Dr. John Doe's psychotherapy services. When designing this website, I made it my focal point to advertise the main product, Dr. John Doe. This caused me to change designs a few times to get the feel that the website was about him. This included finding high quality images and making them front and center.The colors I decided to use this for website give it a calming, medical professional feel. I used flat UI colors to create a seamless flow as you traverse the website. I decided to make the home page an advertisement for the product, Dr. John Doe. The about section blends with the top landing page and goes into detail about the product and their experiences. Since we are talking about Dr. John Doe, I decided to include an image of him here as well. Services provides a list of services John Doe performs. I decided to make the headers the same green as the navigation bar and all capital letters to give it a professional feel. The image of balanced rocks is a symbol of mental balance. In my resources section, I went with a darker background and white lettering. This makes the content of the page stick out and easier to read. The image of plants symbolizes mental growth. Lastly, my contact page is a form overlapping a video. The Zen rocks and moving water symbolize calm and peace. I believe my website is easy to use because all content is on one page, broken down into logical order. This order includes showing the main product, talking about the product, showing the services provided, offering additional resources and how-to setup an appointment.
As the customer base grows, I would like to add more sections and do high level design work for my pages. I would like to incorporate parallaxing effects and 3d imaging. I would like to add a calendar for customers to schedule appointments from the website and provide feedback that can be displayed in a testimonial section.
