The Koran is the only text on which a religion is based, that contains this statement (and predates women's rights movements):
"AND FOR WOMEN ARE RIGHTS EQUAL TO THE RIGHTS AGAINST THEM IN WHAT IS JUST.."
Did you know that, Data in the United States shows that 25 to 35 percent of girls are sexually abused, usually by men well known to them (and a third of all that are killed die at the hands of boyfriends or husbands), the women so assaulted suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; the same disorder that Vietnam Veterans suffer from (Kilbourne, Jean. Deadly Persuasion 1999:253).), which leads to addiction and substance abuse and eventually to poverty and homelessness. Thus women live in a "war zone" in their own homes in America. If they survive childhood, their boyfriends or husbands eventually get them! In such societies "liberation" of women has been reduced [effectively institutionalized] to a slogan to sell products. Such sellers of "liberation", mostly men, offer women "liberation" via smoking, alcohol, food and their natural longing for stable relationships [which have dwindled]. This commercial "liberation" comes at a great cost to women and serves to isolate them through addiction. As addicts make great consumers, the sellers of such "liberation" want to keep it that way (Kilbourne 1999)
Maybe you don't know that:
Men and women are of equal human status in the Koran (Koran 3:195), however Christian doctrine,the ideology on which European and American societies were based, had Biblical norms which hold that a woman is subordinate to a man (1 Corinthians 14:34)and as created for man (1 Timothy 2:11)

Islam gives a world view of a close relationship between all men & women based on a common ORIGIN of humankind

DO YOU KNOW?
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States uses the criterion of the Koran given above when it tests any new innovative drug. If the harm or side effects of any drug are found to exceed their usefulness, they are BANNED from further production and marketing. Alcohol is such a "drug." It is the most highly abused "drug" in the United States. Its harm far exceed its benefits, as a beverage. Therefore it should be BANNED from any further production, marketing and consumption just like other "drugs" DID YOU KNOW?
60%-70% of all crimes involve Alcohol and/or other intoxicating drugs.
Nearly 50% of Automobile fatalities in the U.S. are linked to Alcohol. One death every 11 minutes.
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) results in mental and physical retardation of the new born.
The incidence of FAS in the United States is 1.9 cases per every 1000 births. Birth defects other than FAS linked to alcohol use are 1 in every 100 births. Statistically these numbers are HUGE.
As many as half the young offenders appearing in provincial court may be there because their mothers drank (alcohol) during pregnancy, says Royal University Hospital psychologist Josephine Nanson.
In 1991, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported that FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) is the leading known cause of mental retardation in Western Civilization.
71% of spouse abusers have alcohol problems.
Alcohol affects area of the brain involved in social control. Leads to aggressive and bizarre behavior by producing "anomie."
It causes permanent damage to the brain and liver and most internal organs of the consumer. Alcohol is a "poison," which the body tries to get rid of the moment it is consumed.
It acts as a "stepping-stone" for other "higher" drugs like Marijuana, Cocaine and Heroine. Those who don't do alcohol don't experiment with other drugs. The drug war can never be won without outlawing alcohol (Siegel, Sienna 1994)

Of all topics most popular in today's media, issues concerning homosexuals and homosexuality in general top the list. Homosexuality is generally defined as a sexual relationship between partners of the same sex. Debate concerning its causes and consequences has been going on for many centuries and almost in every period in human history. However, never before in human history has it been granted such wide scale acceptance in western society as it has now.
The question that I seek to answer in this paper is whether such wide scale acceptance should in fact be granted to homosexual behavior? Is such behavior rational, scientifically functional or is it actually detrimental to society in which we live?

RAMADHAN
AN INSTRUMENT FOR BUILDING
"SOCIAL AWARENESS"
Every year for a month, according to the Koran, Muslims are supposed to fast. From dawn until night fall, the believers are not allowed to eat or drink anything. The purpose of the fast is to build "Taqwa" (Koran 2:183) i.e. Social Awareness
If a person experiences hunger and thirst first-hand, by conscious choice, chances are that he/she would be more responsive to the needs of others in society who experience deprivation because they have no choice. Thus fasting in the manner prescribed makes a person "Thankful (Koran 2:185)" for the small necessities that most of us take for granted.
"The month of Ramadhan in which was sent down the Koran as a guidance for humankind; and as clear proofs of the guidance and the Criterion. Whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month...that you might be thankful
(Koran 2:185)"
HUMANITY DIVIDED
Capitalism is designed to keep people apart through competition and individualism. The elite, taking advantage of the system and the market mechanism generated by Capitalism lock individuals in a race for survival, one against the other.
By reducing the worth of everything including human relationships to their "exchange" value, Capitalistic ideology and a society projected by such an ideology produces the worst form of "slavery" possible. "Slavery" to material objects [where the purpose of life becomes their acquisition]. A "slavery" in which those who are enslaved don't even realize the depth of their bondage.
Contrary to producing universal justice, Capitalism produces universal alienation
Communism and socialism try "legislative" solutions to cure the effects of Capitalism without replacing the ideology that was institutionalized under it, as a result they fail.
The ONLY system that provides a universally just and a scientifically sound ideology is the system contained in the Koran. The ONLY hope for bringing humanity together as one community is Islam, the system contained in the Koran alone.
Unfortunately "Muslims" believe in a different "Islam". True Islam today has to be extracted from the Koran alone and not "Muslim" tradition. I invite you to take some time and join me in examining this claim:
(Koran 8:25).
Thus the Koran confirms the deterministic model in sociology. It is social determinism and not "mystical" determinism that the Koran talks about.
All through the Koran, is recognition of "sociological factors" that keep humans away from God and His message. Factors like group-solidarity, tradition, the pride in social position, social stratification etc.
This work is not about "self-righteousness." Theory and action need to be separated for the purpose of pure research. Thus we need to "test" the Koran by its claims and not by the actions of those who purport to believe in it or follow it.
This work is simply a scientific analysis of social issues that provide evidence for the Koran's statements being positive, scientifically sound, very user-friendly and just. "Humankind is created weak," states the Koran,
"Do not ascribe purity for yourself,"
states the Koran and finally it states explicitly,
" If it was not God's grace unto you, not one of you would be pure."
The purpose of the Koran is not to be dogmatic but reasonable and to seek for solutions and to heal. Its purpose is not condemnation of the individual

KORAN: A NEW HISTORY OF SOCIOLOGY
CONSTRUCTING A GLOBAL GHETTO
Ideas of race superiority, made moral by a ‘white’ hierarchical religion, became institutionalized in Western culture once Germanic races gained power by overthrowing the Roman Empire and adopting Christianity.
By the 1900s the colonial powers of Europe, together with the U.S, controlled half of the newly discovered areas of the world, and over a third of its population (Delavignette 1964:1).
This idea of superiority led to the Atlantic slave trade in which over 40 million people were killed. A similar idea led to the genocide of the American Indians, over 50 million ‘savages’ were killed by the ‘cultured’ West (Zinn 1990:1).
American “National security” guised by an idea about “our superior way of life,” led to the civilian bombings of Vietnam and Cambodia by orders of Harvard educated elite, killing millions again.
South Africa similarly used “national sovereignty,” as an excuse to protect its apartheid regime. The fate of the Australian Aborigines, persecuted, killed and forced on reservations was another racially motivated ‘national’ act, as was the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan and not on ‘white’ Germany.

How far would you go if you wanted to discover the true origin or the universe? How much progress would you make if you wanted to uncover the origin of life?
We can move away from Arabia and scan the world scene at that period in history. Nothing in the literature of the world comes even remotely close to the accuracy of statements about the natural world contained in the Koran. Infact some of the inforamtion that we come across in the Koran wasn't known till about 40 years back and some of it wasn't known until the day it was read in the Koran by scientists just a few years ago. SCIENTIFIC REVELATION
PREMARITAL SEX AND THE DYING NUCLEAR FAMILY
This paper examines the relationship between society's greater acceptance attitudes towards premarital sex since the 1960s, the breakdown of the traditional U.S nuclear family, and the rise in female-headed single parent households.
It presents this increase in permissiveness towards premarital sex and the accompanying practice changes as causal links to the increase in the divorce rate and the feminization of poverty
The research is also extended to include status of women and children, juvenile delinquency, and shallower relationships at all levels in society.
The research model follows a logico-empirical path analysis, similar to the what the "path" [sabeel] that the Koran suggests while discussing non-marital sex (Koran 17:9).

In-Justice
Christianity as a system is built upon injustice. The whole system rests on the assumption that an innocent man [Jesus] had to be killed to pay for the sins of the guilty. Christianity is also the contextual “cause” of Capitalism according to Max Weber's, The Protestant Ethic & The Spirit of Capitalism.
The Old Testament and Judaism are well known for their racist attitude towards all non-Jews. One example is the passage in the Torah which states that interest on money lent cannot be charged from Jews but can be charged from Gentiles (The Bible, Deuteronomy 23:19-21).
A woman bearing a male child according to the “Torah” is impure for seven days but when she gives birth to a female child, she is impure for two weeks (The Bible, Leviticus 12:2-5). Christianity talks about “silencing” the woman (The Bible, 1 Timothy 2:11-14), and the women being created “for” and “from” men (1 Timothy 2:11 & 1 Corinthians 11:6).
Gentiles are considered less than human all through the Old Testament. Linking religion with race, Israelites who turn away from Judaism are described as "uncircumcised" foreigners (Ezekiel 28).
"God" commands the Israelites to put these "pseudo-foreigners",“men, women and children” to the sword (The Bible, Ezekiel 9:4-6etc). Jesus, according to the New Testament called the Gentiles, “Dogs (Mark 7:27)” and “pigs (Matthew 7:5-7)”.
The Bible encourages buying slaves from “outside” nations (The Bible, Leviticus 25:45-47). It also talks about whole nations and decendents of people being predestined to slavery (Genesis 9:20-27). Contrary to this, the Koran states that one of the greatest good deeds is the “setting free” of a slave (Koran 91:13)..
This arrogance is displayed when we see Israeli “bullets” exchanged for Palestinian “stones” and the literally dozen Palestinians that are killed in response to the killing of every single Israeli soldier.
