Rembering Patrice on
Saturday, April 15, 2006
Saturday, April 15, 2006, marks two long years since Patrice Endres was abducted and murdered from her salon in Forsyth County, Georgia.

Since the one year anniversary of this horrible day, a stunning development occurred in the case. This past December 2005, construction workers working on the Lebanon Baptist Church noticed vultures hovering around the woods near where they were working. Walking closer to the area where the vultures were flying, the workers realized that they were flying near a deceased deer. Over from the deer, the workers discovered something that appeared to be skeletal remains.

GBI forensic analysis later proved that the remains found near the deer were those of Patrice Endres who had been missing now for over 600 days. The discovery stunned her family and those who love her. Patrice had been found less than eight miles from where she was abducted.

Only months earlier, the prime suspect, Jeremy Jones confessed that he had abducted, raped, and then murdered Patrice that fateful April day before disposing of her in the Sweet Water Creek in Douglasville, GA. Massive searches turned up no sign of Patrice. Authorities reported that the chances of ever finding Patrice in the river were slim to none. There had been several floods that caused the river banks to swell and ultimately halted the last search for Patrice.

Shortly after authorities had to stop the search for Patrice she had then been missing for a full year. Friends and family gathered by the river to remember Patrice by tossing purple roses into the river, and watching them float downstream. Everyone now knows that suspected serial killer, Jeremy Jones lied about Patrice's location. She was never in the river.

Authorities now say that they do not know if Jeremy Jones is the person responsible for Patrice's disappearance and murder, although Jones has been connected to several murders in the general area where Patrice was abducted.

Approximately six days before Patrice was found, Jeremy Jones was sentenced to death for the murder of Lisa Nichols in Mobile, Alabama. He now resides on Alabama's death row.

Patrice's memorial was held on Jan. 15, 2006 at the Coal Mtn. Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. With the discovery of Patrice, and being able to give a proper good-bye, there's still no closure. Patrice's murderer needs to be brought to justice. Some people still believe Jones is the man who murdered Patrice but is unable to remember all events around that time, due to his past drug abuse. Someone out there knows what happened on April 15, 2004, and it is time to come forward.

Patrice is loved and missed by many people. Join us as we remember Patrice and pray that this mystery surrounding her untimely death is resolved.
