For Patrice Endres
On April 15, 2005
It was one year ago today that Patrice Endres was abducted from her hair salon in Forsyth County. For days a massive search would be underway, but it would conclude without any trace of Patrice.  Who took her, and why?

Not until six months later would the police begin to zero in on a person of interest. It was that of Jeremy Brian Jones. Jones was living under an alias of John Paul Chapman, and he was a wanted man from Oklahoma for two brutal rapes. There were a string of disappearances and murders authorities believed Jones was responsible for. Did Jeremy Jones take Patrice on April 15, 2004?

Authorities gave the horrifying news that no one wants to receive in late March of 2005. This was approximately 11 months after Patrice was abducted. Jeremy Jones confessed that he had been lost on that fateful Thursday, April 15, 2004 when he stopped into the Tamber Trim N- Tan to ask for directions. He discovered that Patrice was all alone and he claimed that high on methamphetamines when he made a split decision to abduct her. He told authorities he ambushed her and held a weapon to her to make her leave with him. He went on to say that he had raped, murdered, and then disposed of Patrice in Sweet Water Creek which is located in Douglasville, GA. This is the same county that a month prior to Patrices disappearance a 16 year old girl, Amanda Greenwell vanished from a pay phone. Her body was found in April shortly before Patrice was abducted.

Authorities have searched the creek three separate times trying to locate Patrice, but those searches have turned up nothing. A cadaver sniffing dog indicated that human remains had been on the bridge at the exact area that Jones claimed he disposed of Patrice.

Jones told authorities on another occasion that he had buried Patrice, and this broadens the mystery of whether or not Jones is being truthful about his involvement with the disappearance of Patrice.

So far, Jeremy Jones has been charged with three murders, but is suspected in several more. He is a suspected serial killer. He has claimed on TV that he is going to be famous. Does this mean by adding people to his murdered list that are not really on it? How can we find out for sure?

Although it has been a year since Patrice was taken, there are many who have not given up hope of locating her. The searches have not been called off in this area of Sweet Water Creek, however the rivers levels and temperature make it very hard for the searchers. The search will never conclude until Patrice is brought home.

Although hope seems to have faded for finding Patrice alive, it is now even more important that her remains be found and put in a proper resting place.

Several other victims families of Jeremy Jones have offered their support to Patrices husband, since their cases paralleled recently. All wonderful, normal, happy people until a horrible crime occurred.

This day today is for Patrice in her memory always. It is also for those others victims of Jeremy Jones. We shall all wait for answers and justice to be served for each of the heinous crimes. We will also continue to search for Patrice and bring her home. As stated many times before, Patrice is still missing, but shes never been forgotten.
In honor of Patrice, a portrait was drawn of her husband's favorite photograph of her. The portrait was created by Bradley Bennett. Patrice is still missing but our family has never forgotten her and continue to wait for answers for her disappearance.
My thoughts are with the families of Amanda Greenwell, and that of Lisa Nichols. All are dear sweet people who have been so supportive of finding Patrice. Keeping the faith as the search continues
