| I purchansed a everyday plastic drink holder from Pep Boys Auto Parts. I modified this holder to fit on the SR50 with only minor modifications. The holder can be purchased for around $2.00 plus a aditional $2.00 for the velcro that will be needed for the modifications. The whole process takes only about 15 minutes from start to finish. Total cost is less than $5.00 I have used my holder for 6 months with no problems and I have never spilt a drop of my beverage! Modifications needed: 1. Cut Plastic end off rubber flat piece of drink holder. 2. Remover 2 screws from accessorie holder clamp (see: fig 4) 3.Align rubber to fit square and a slight trim of the rubber will be needed to fit. 4.Punch 2 holes for the screws to go through. 5.Cut and fit velcro to rubber using velcro Part "A" from WalMart (See:fig 5) Note: you need to use the Wal-Mart type velcro because it works the best. I have tried other velcros with not very good results. 6.After cutting velcro to fit the rubber then stick it on (Clean the rubber first, I used rubbing alchol). 7. Apply velcro to rubber. 8.Cut and trim part "B" velcro to fit the back side of drink holder. 9.Clean backside of drink holder (I scuffed it with a 120 gritt sandpaper to ensure a good stick). 10.Apply velcro. 11.If you want you can cut and stick additional pieces of velcro on the front of the drink holder so you have a more secure adjustible versital holder. |
