Ever wonder what that funney looking round stub was on the left side of the SR50? If you don't know already it's a place to hook up a Factory Aprilia Security Cable. Before the Gatlinburg Trip I was needing a way to secure my SR50 when visiting the local gift shops there. I decided to invest in the security cable from Aprilia. The cable is rather costly but it is a outstanding quality part to say the least! I ordered a cable from a Aprilia dealer in Ga. Cost is around $100.00.
How it works.
The Cable simply plugs into the side of the scooter at the stub location. The cable is fitted with a keyed lock that is tamper proof. Once you loop the cable around a good strong object simply loop the cable back through the round steel loop provided at one end of the cable. Next plug into the side stub located at the left side of the scooter (covered by a rubber slip on cover from the factory). |
