Chapter 6

~BRADY HOUSE~

Bo is sitting on the couch reading the paper when there's a knock at the door.

"Come in."

"Hey little brother I heard you were looking for me."

Bo tosses the paper aside. "Thanks for getting over here so fast Roman. I need your help."

"Anything."

"I need to figure out how to get Patrick Lockhart out of our lives once and for all. You know as well as I do that man is not to be trusted."

"We haven't been able to hold him for anything Bo."

"Come on Roman we both know he's working for the Dimeria�s. We've gotta be able to haul him in for something."

"I wish we could little brother, but it doesn't matter how many times I run his name he comes up clean."

Bo looks like he's at his wits end and Roman can tell something�s up.

"Okay Bo why don't we stop playing games here and just tell me why it's so important after all this time to run Lockhart out of town?"

Hope starts to come downstairs but she overhears Bo and Roman talking about Patrick so she stops and listens.

"He's got a thing for my wife and I just don't like it."

"Lockhart's been hitting on Hope?" Roman asked shocked.

"It's worse then that Roman.........Lockhart and Hope have been together all this time."

"Hope's sleeping with Patrick Lockhart?" Roman asked completely disgusted.

"Roman I don't want to talk about it." Bo yells clearly more upset then annoyed. "I just want that man out of our lives and I won't stop until I make sure that happens."

Roman is about to say something as Hope walks down the stairs.

"Hello Roman I didn't know you were here."

"Hope." Roman says happy to see her. "I didn't realize you were back in town." They hug. "So, how have you been?"

She walks over by Bo. "It's been hard.....some days are harder then others......but I'm glad I'm home."

Roman looks at the two of them. "You guys back together then, or what?"

Hope looks at Bo and then at Roman. "We're trying to work things out."

Bo puts his arm around her. "We're going to work things out."

Roman smiles as his cell phone rings. "Excuse me guys I have to take this." He walks to the other side of the room.

"I thought you were going to take a nap Mrs. Brady."

"I tried but I couldn't sleep."

"You know you really need to take it easy."

"Bo it's going to be a long seven months if you keep worrying about me like this...we've been here before Brady. Why are you acting like this?"

"What I'm not allowed to be worried about my wife." He states while laughing.

She looks at him seriously. "Bo you're being over protective and I want to know why?"

Just then Roman walks back over towards them. "Hey guys I have to be going." He gives Hope a hug and looks up at Bo. "I'll see what I can find out for ya bro."

Hope walks him to the door. "You'll have to come over sometime later in the week for dinner Roman."

"Don't worry bro, we'll order out." Bo laughingly yells across the room.

Roman can't help but laugh as he kisses Hope on the forehead and leaves.

"So Mrs. Brady what do you say we find something for lunch?" Bo asked as he headed to the kitchen.

"Bo why was Roman here?" Hope asked following him in.

"Roman?" Bo asked looking through the cupboards. "He just stopped by to see how I was doing."

"Just what is it he's going to look into for you?"

Bo closes the cupboard door. "You sure are full of a lot of questions today Fancy Face." He states kissing the top of her head and trying to distract her. "There's nothing to eat in here I say we order out."

"Bo stop." Hope says annoyed. "I want to know what you're up to and what it has to do with Patrick Lockhart."

"So Just how long were you listening in?"

"Apparently not long enough to know what you're up to."

Bo takes her hand and they sit at the table. "I just want to protect you Fancy Face and the sooner I can get Lockhart out of the picture the safer you'll be."

"Bo just promise me you won't do anything stupid."

�I promise�

�Bo?�

�Yeah.� He said looking up at her.

�Did you tell Roman about the baby.�

�Can�t say the subject ever came up.� He looks at his watch and kisses her on the forehead. �I�ve got to get to work. I�ll call you later.�

�You look like you could use some company." Jenn says as she looks down at Hope who�s sitting on a park bench all by herself. "Is everything alright?"

"Some days Jenn I don't think anything�s going to be alright ever again."

"How are things going with Bo since you let him move back in?"

"Tense...I guess would be a good word for it." She looks down at her stomach. "But what else should I expect."

"Hope I thought you told me Bo accepted the fact that you�re pregnant."

"He has...or at least he says he has."

"Then what's the problem?"

Hope looks up at her. "It's not just the fact that I'm pregnant Jenn, it's Zack's death, it's life, it's trying to get my marriage back where it belongs........, it's just everything."

"Hope sweetie you have to give it some time."

Hope suddenly gets a very serious look in her eyes. "Jenn I've been thinking about doing something now for a few days and I'm not sure if I can go through with it.....but at the same time I think it might be the only way I'm ever going to be happy again."

Looking concerned. "Thinking about doing what?"

Hope gets up and looks out at the kids playing on the swings. "Jenn you and I both know I shouldn't be having this baby."

Jenn quickly stands up behind her. "Hope where are you going with this?"

"You know where I'm going with this."

"Have you talked to Bo about it."

Hope turns and looks at her. "Bo says he'll accept this child because it's part of me Jenn......but I know he or she is just going to be a consent reminder of the fact that I cheated on him."

"Hope sweetie, please don't do anything stupid until you talk things out with Bo."

"Jenn, why is this happening to me now? Do you know how many times Bo and I went to bed after Zack was born and used nothing and yet I've never ended up pregnant......now all of a sudden I do the stupidest thing in the world and willingly sleep with another man and look what happens.....I end up pregnant with his kid.�

"Does Patrick now about the baby?"

"No, I haven't told him yet.. I'm sure by now he knows that Bo and I are somewhat back together and that's probably why I haven't even heard from him."

"Do you plan on telling him?"

Hope looks back over towards the kids playing. "I know he has a right to know but what's the point of telling him if I have no intention of keeping this child."

"Hope sweetie you and Bo both have more then enough love inside the two of you to love this child no matter who its father is.....Just think about JT and how much it killed both of you to lose him......and he wasn't even yours."

"I know that Jenn but that was different. I thought I slept with John and became pregnant while I was Princess Gina...This time I'm me, Hope Williams Brady and I know what I did."

"I thought you said you didn't even remember sleeping with Patrick?"

"What's the difference if I can or can�t remember Jenn? The proof is right here in my stomach......I cheated on my husband and now I'm pregnant and I have no other choice but to do something about it."

Bo walks up behind her and places his arms around her waist. "And just what do you plan on doing about it Fancy Face."

"I plan on getting an abortion." Hope states plainly.
