Examining Room # 5 Good morning Hope. Nurse Jones said walking into the room. How are you feeling this morning. The morning sickness has seemed to subside for a while, which Im overly grateful for . But now my ankles and fingers are starting to swell. Hope laughed. Aw the joys of pregnancy. Nurse Jones laughed back. And yet I keep getting pregnant. Hope adds. Seriously thou I wouldnt trade it for the world. To be able to hold that new life that you created. Its just worth it all. Nurse Jones becomes serious. I was very sorry to hear about little Zack. He was so full of life. Thank you. Will your husband be joining us today? Nurse Jones asked as she looked over her chart. No. Hope replied trying not to show her true emotions. He had to work this morning and cant make it. Im sorry to hear that. But Im sure the doctor will print you out some pictures of the sonogram to take home to him. She closes her chart after writing down her vitals. She should be with you shortly. Hope took a deep breath and tried to relax as she sat there in the room all alone. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ~ Jenns House ~ Hey Doug Abby said as she opened her front door. Is your mother here Abby? I really need to speak to her. Good Morning Doug Jenn said walking down the stairs still in her robe. What brings you by so earlier I need to know whats going on with my daughter and since neither she nor her husband will tell me then I expect you to! He demanded as he walked into the foyer. I have no idea what your talking about. Jenn stated as she tried to ushered Abby towards the kitchen. Mom is Aunt Hope alright? Abby asked. Yes shes fine. Jenn shoot back. Now go in the kitchen and eat your breakfast or youll be late for school. Please Jenn you are not only her cousin but her best friend. I know she tells you everything. Yes she does and I can assure you nothing is going on with her. Jenn replied as she looked away. Oh thats really assuring. Doug mocked. Id tell you if I could but it really isnt my place. Shell tell you whats going on with her when shes ready. Thats just what Bo said and it still doesnt sound any better coming from you. Maybe I should have talked to Alice instead of coming here. Alice could always get the truth out of her. Listen Doug why dont I talk to Hope and tell her how worried you are about her. Maybe then shell let you in to whats bothering her so much. But I really dont think you need to worry Gram. I guess youre right. He said shaking his head. Thank you Jenn, Id really appreciate that. Try not to worry so much. Jenn replied giving him a hug. You can not tell a father to not worry about their child its impossible. Jenn waited for Doug to leave and then picked up her cell phone and dialed Hopes cell. Hello. Hope said picking up her phone. Hey Hope its me Jenn. Jenn now really isnt a good time. Im waiting for the doctor. Is everything okay? Jenn asked worried. Yea its fine, Im just having a ultrasound done of the baby. Awe. Jenn said smiling. Is Bo with you? Hope took another deep breath. No he isnt and before you say anything its because I didnt tell him I was having one done. Why not. Jenn yelled. He told you he wanted to be there for you. I know Jenn its just I dont want him to feel obligated. Obligated? Jenn questioned. He doesnt feel obligated in the least. Hes your husband Hope and he loves you and he should be there with you. I know he does, its just things are starting to look better for the two of us since Patrick went into hiding and I dont want anything to ruin that. You know I think youre making a mistake not telling him. Hes going to be hurt not to mention upset when he finds out. Jenn please dont worry everything will be fine. Besides I have no intention of even telling him where Ive been all day. Hope Williams Brady you cant lie to the man! Thats no way to keep your marriage on track. Listen Jenn the doctor just came in I have to go. Ill call you later. Hope states as she hangs up the phone. How are you feeling today Hope? Dr Coleman asked Fine thank you. I dont see your husband here. Would you like to wait for him before we get started? No, he wont be joining us today. Hope replied sadly. Dr Coleman set the machine up and covered her ever growing stomach with some very cold gel, which made Hope squirm. Well lets see how big this little one of yours is, shall we? Hope couldnt help but smile when the image of her baby started to appear on the monitor. Oh look how small she is. Are you hoping for a girl this time around? The Doc asked I know I sure am. Bo said walking into the room and over to Hope. Bo what are you doing here? Hope asked shocked to see him. Lets just say I got out of work a lot earlier then I planned. Bo said giving her a we really dont want to go there look. Well its a little too soon to tell if its a boy or a girl but it is definitely a baby. Dr. Coleman joked. The baby seems awful big for only ten weeks. Bo replied Ten weeks? Dr Coleman questioned. Hope you do realize you are entering your second trimester. This fetus is at least twelve weeks old, give or take a few days. I cant be that far along. Hope replied. The last time I saw you I was only about 6 weeks along. Dr. Colman looks back through her paperwork. If I told you, you were only six weeks along thats because I only went on what you told me. But I assure you this baby inside of you is bigger then ten weeks. Twelve weeks are you sure? Bo asked still in shock. As sure as I can be. Dr Coleman replied. Everything looks great so Ill print you two out some pictures and if you dont have any other questions you can call my office later today and set up an appointment for next month. She looked up at the two of them. And you Mr. Brady need to make sure your wife here takes her vitamins daily and gets plenty of rest. Dont worry I will. Bo said grinning from ear to ear. Then you can get dressed and I will see you in a month Hope. And again congratulations. Dr. Coleman stated as she picked up her files, smiled and left the room. Do you think its possible or am I just kidding myself? Bo asked hopeful. Hopes face lit up. I think its more then possible. |
