Chapter 16

PCPD

Okay thats it Abe. Bo yells as he pushes his office door open. Its been over a week and you still havent found Lockhart. I demand to be put back on the case.

Abe sat back in his chair. Sorry Bo but that just isnt going to happen.

Bo slams his hands down on Abes desk. Abe that man tried to rape my wife and I want him to pay for it.

Abe stand up. Which is exactly why I took you off this case. I cant have some hot head cop going around threatening people

I wouldnt have to threaten people if theyd just tell me where Lockhart is.

And what are you going to do when you find him Bo?

Im going to kill the SOB.

Abe sits back down at his desk. Brady why dont you just go home and take care of your wife. The best thing you can do for her is to make her feel safe.

How can she feel safe when she knows that maniac is out there somewhere? Bo yells as walks out.

Detective Brady, we all feel sorry for what happened to Hope and were all doing everything we can to find her. A fellow office noted.

Thanks man. Bo acknowledged before he walked out of the station.

Thanks for nothing Bo. Billy said walking up to him. Do you know I spent the entire night in lock up?

What are you mumbling about Billie? Bo questioned

You didnt even have the decency to bail me out. She continued. Whats the matter hope would let you out of her sight because she knows youd once again wind up in my bed where you belong.

Billie I still have no idea what you are talking about but I do know the one place youll never find me again is in your bed However speaking of sick bed mates where the hell is yours?

I cant believe you are still jealous of Patrick.

And I cant believe how delusional you are but that still doesnt tell me where Lunkhead is.

I havent seen Patrick since the night he got me arrested.

Bo starts to laugh. Oh yeah thats right I forgot you let yourself get drunk and arrested last week or so.

And thanks to you I got to spend the night in the drunk tank.

I seriously thought about coming down and bailing you out Billie, I did . If nothing more than out of respect for our daughter and all but then I thought better of it when I remembered how much my wife hated you and what it would have done to our already shaken marriage.

Seeming awfully proud. You and Hope still having problems?

As long as I allow you to be part of my life we will always have problems. And thats why Ive decided to keep my distance from you.

Like it or not Bo we do share a daughter together.

Yeah I know and the worst part about that is that shes more like you then she is like me.

Are you going to just push her out of your life as well?

Shes my daughter and I plan on taking care of her and trying my hardest to have a real relationship with her, if thats still possible.

Whens the last time you even talked to her?

Why dont you ask her? Bo replied clearly annoyed. Now if youll excuse me I have a wife at home expecting me for lunch. If you see your poor excuse of a boy toy tell him If I ever catch up with him. He leans close to her and very profoundly states. Im going to kill him.

BRADY HOME

Daddy you sure I cant get you something else to drink? Hope asked

No princess Im fine. Doug replied. I would like to know what it is however that you arent telling me.

Im sorry Bos late for lunch, we could start without him if youd like.

Hope sweetie weve been sitting her for an hour now going back and forth and Id really like to know whats bothering you.

Im just upset that Bos not home yet daddy. He said he wouldnt be long.

Is everything okay between the two of you? Doug asked

Weve got a rough road ahead of us but I really do believe its all going to work out.

Doug puts his arm around his daughter. You know if you ever need anybody to talk to princess Im always here.

Hey Fancy Face. Bo says walking into the house. Sorry Im late. He throws his keys on the mantle and walks over and gives her a kiss. Hey Doug I didnt know youd be here. Are you joining us for lunch?

Daddy just stop by and I asked him to join us. Hope answered. I hope thats alright.

Thats fine. Bo said patting Doug on the back. Is Julie here as well?

No she went to go visit her son for a few days. Doug replied.

Hope got up off the couch and headed towards the kitchen. I got the sandwiches already, Ill bring them out, she we can eat in here.

No sit. Bo insisted. Ill get everything.

Dont be silly Bo. Hope laughed. I can do it.

Doug stopped Bo from following Hope. Bo would you please tell me whats wrong with my little girl?

Other than the fact that shes pregnant and her hormones are in overdrive

Bo dont try and kid a kidder. Doug said cutting him off. I know my daughter better than anyone with the exception of probably you and I know something is bothering her.

Bo sat down on the couch next to him and became very serious. I need you to trust Hope on this and not push her. Im sure when shes ready to deal with telling you she will.

Fine. Doug replied in defeat. But I need to know that you are doing everything possible to help her deal with whatever she is dealing with.

Bo held his hand out. Dont worry Im not going to let her deal with anything alone, ever again. Ill be here for her no matter what.

It seems to me she needs you now more than ever and Im sorry but with your past record of running off, Im not sure if I should trust your word on that.

Bo placed his unshaken hand back in his lap. I know I havent always been there for her in the past but I need to assure you things are different now. Ive seen the light and I know where the darkness takes me and I have no intention of going back there.

If I find out that youve hurt my little girl one more time Bo Brady. Doug trailed off as Hope walked out of the kitchen.

Bo looked directly at Doug. If I do sir, Id expect you to do so.

Whose hungry? Hope asked.
