Two day�s later Hope is walking along Salem Place and all she can hear over and over again in her head, are Bo�s pleading words of �Please Hope don�t tell Patrick this baby is his�. �Penny for your thoughts.� Julie said walking up behind her. �Julie what are you doing here?� Hope asked as she gave her a huge hug. �Where�s daddy? He did come with you didn�t he?� �Yes your father is with me. He�s over at the Pub with Caroline and Shawn. Caroline tells me that we came back to town just at the right time because you and Bo have something really important to tell us.� Hope doesn�t know what to say. �Well don�t just stand there, tell me what it is?� Julie pushed �What do you say you and daddy come over for dinner tonight and Bo and I will fill you in then.� �Hope Williams Brady you don�t really expect me to wait until then do you?� �Yes.� Hope laughed. �Because Bo would kill me if I told you without him being there.� Julie took Hope�s hands in hers. �I am so glad you and Bo have worked things out. The two of you are no good without the other and I really wish your father and I realized that way back when.� �Oh Julie we really aren�t going to talk about the old days again are we?� Hope pleaded. �Actually dear.� Julie said giving her a kiss. �Since you aren�t going to tell me what�s going on and I�m already running late.� She looks at her watch and makes a funny face. �I�m going to run and take you up on that dinner. Your dad and I will be there around?� �5 o�clock works.� �Great dear.� Julie replies as she walks away. �We�ll see you then.� Hope looks like she wants to either cry or go crawl in a hole and die�.or better yet she thought to herself do both. �Was that Aunt Julie I just saw walk away?� Jenn asked as they both sat at a table. �When did she get back into town?� �I take it earlier today.� �Hope are you okay?� Jenn asked as she noticed Hope just didn�t seem to be her joyful self. �It�s just been a few long and trying days is all.� �Hope stress isn�t good for you or this baby your carrying and you know that.� �Your right Jenn I do.� Hope agreed shaking her head. �But it�s kinda hard not to be stressed out when your carrying another man�s baby and your husband doesn�t want him, or anybody else for that matter, to know.� She takes a deep breath. �And then top if off with the fact that Bo and I spent one magical night together that I honestly think he regrets.� ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Later on that day Hope is sitting in the living room staring at the front door when Bo walks in. �I thought you�d be home way before this.� She replied as she jumped to her feet. �Something smells good.� He replied as he gave her a kiss. �I tried to call you several times today but you never answered your cell.� �Sorry about that.� He stated as he walked past her, dropped his keys on the table and began scrambling through the mail. �I turned my phone off.� �Bo you never turn your phone off?� �I had a lot of work to do and didn�t want to be bother.� �I called the station and they said you weren�t in your office.� He turns and looks at her. �Yea I told them I didn�t want to be bothered and if anybody called I wasn�t in.� �So now I fall in the category of anybody?� Hope asked annoyed.� �Hope I just didn�t want to be bothered can we leave it at that?� �No we can�t?� She yelled. �Brady if this is the way things are going to be between the two of us, I honestly think we have a problem.� �I don�t know what you want from me Hope?� Hope is about to say something when the door bell rings. �Great!� She yells as she takes the mail from him and throws it back onto the table. Bo gives her a strange look. �What�s the matter?� �That would be Dad and Julie at the door.� Hope replied totally stressed out. �It seems your parents told them we had some great news to share with them.� The bell rings again. �Hope please sit down and calm down.� Bo says making her sit on the couch. �And I�ll get the door.� �And tell them what?� Hope asked jumping back onto her feet. Bo looked at her for a minute. �Why don�t you go in the kitchen, sit down and take a deep breath. I�ll answer the door and get them something to drink and then join you.� �Whatever!� she mumbled under her breath as she made her way into the kitchen. Bo waited till she was out of sight before he answered the door. �What took you so long?� Doug asked walking in with Julie on his arm. �Sorry we were in the middle of making dinner and didn�t hear the bell.� Bo replied. �Yes things can get pretty hot in the kitchen.� Julie seductively joked. Bo ushered them over to the couch. �Doug why don�t you pour you and Julie I lovely glass of wine while I go check on Hope.� �I can help Hope in the kitchen.� Julie replied as she made her way towards the kitchen. Bo quickly jumped in front of her. �Are you kidding me Hope would never let me live it down if I let you do that.� He walked her back over to the couch, where Doug handed her a glass of wine and he made his way into the kitchen. �What are we suppose to tell them?� Hope said as she paced the kitchen floor. �We aren�t going to be able to tell them anything if you don�t calm down.� Bo firmly stated as he made Hope sit at the kitchen table. �You need to stop and breath.� �I can�t lie to my dad Bo and tell him we are having a baby.� �Hope you really need to calm down.� �I can�t!� She screamed, which caused him to put his hand over her mouth. �Is everything okay in there?� Julie yelled from the other room. �Everything�s fine.� Bo yelled back as he removed his hand from Hope�s mouth. �If you don�t want them to know anything is wrong then I suggest you don�t scream anymore.� �What are we going to tell them?� He helped her to her feet. �We are going to go out there and tell them they we are expecting a baby and leave it at that.� �Bo the baby isn�t yours?� �We don�t have to tell them that?� �I don�t want to lie to them Bo.� �We won�t lie, we just won�t tell them everything.� |
