SALEM PD �Let me guess Hope finally got wise and kicked you out once and for all.� Roman laughed opening the door to his office and finding Bo sitting there. �Cute Bro.� Bo snickered as he typed away at the laptop. Roman threw some papers on his desk. �Well something had to get you up and out of bed at this hour of the morning. The sun�s barely up.� �You�re here aren�t you?� Bo chuckled back. �I, my friend don�t have a wife to snuggle up to in the morning and keep me in bed either.� Roman stated laughing but not getting a response from Bo. �Okay little Brother what gives?� He asked walking over and closing the laptop. Bo looked up at him. �You know what gives.� �Would you like to tell me what Patrick Lockhart has done that�s so bad that he�s got you this worked up?� �Besides the obvious?� Bo yelled throwing his hands up in the air. �Yes besides the obvious.� Roman threw back at him. �I can�t calm down till that SOB is dead.� Bo yelled as he picked up the cup full of pens off Roman�s desk and flung it across the room. Roman walked over to him. �Okay Bo enough already, what�s this all about?� �That SOB got my wife pregnant Roman and I want him dead.� �What the hell did you just say?� Bo slowly sat down in Roman�s chair and placed his face into the palm of his hands. �I can�t believe I just said that.� �Neither can I.� Was all Roman could say. Bo looked up at him. �Bro you can�t tell anybody what I just told you, especially not Hope she�d never forgive me.� �She�d never forgive you?� Roman questioned puzzling. �She slept with another man�.Lockhart of all people ended up pregnant with his kid and you�re worried about her forgiving you.� �Roman you don�t understand.� �Well enlighten me then, please.� �A lot has happened since Zack�s death and one thing lead to another. Lockhart was there for her when she felt I wasn�t and he took full advantage of her. It�s his fault not hers that she�s in the position that she�s in.� Roman just looked at him like he was crazy. �Bro there�s a lot more to it, but bottom line is Hope and I have basically worked through everything, but she�d kill me if she knew I told you the baby was his. She thinks I can�t stand to look at her or touch her and she�s partially right���last night the two of us made love for the first time since Zack died and all I keep thinking about afterwards was the fact that she was pregnant and the child she is carrying isn�t mine��..I know after all the times I cheated on her with Billie over the years I have no right to feel this way, but I just can�t get past the fact that she actually slept with him.� �Let me get this straight. You feel guilty because you can�t get pasted the fact that Hope cheated on you and your blaming yourself for all of this.� �My guilt has a lot to do with Billie.� Roman just throws his hands up in the air. �I so don�t even want to know, but please tell me you didn�t��.� �No we didn�t.� Bo stated cutting him off. �But she made it look like we did, which is why Hope left in the first place and why she ended up in the arms of that maniac.� �Bo, why do you let that woman destroy your life time and time again?� Roman yelled. �When are you going to wake up and realize that she�s no good for you?� �Roman please I don�t need a lecture on my life with Billie Reed.� �Apparently you do.� �Billie�s the mother of my daughter and that�s it and after this last stunt that she�s pulled she knows that.� �But do you?� �Bro trust me I will never go running to Billie Reeds rescue ever again.� �I hope not.� �This last stunt of hers has done more damage to my relationship with Hope then everything else combined and I know it.� Roman paced around the room for a few moments. �Okay forget Billie��how are you going to deal with Lockhart.� �He doesn�t know.� �That�s a positive thing at least.� �No it isn�t.� �What do you mean no it isn�t?� Roman yelled. �You want that man to know he got your wife pregnant?� �Of course not.� Bo yelled back �But Hope does and she feels guilty that she hasn�t told him yet.� �Has the woman lost her mind?� �Yes I think she has and it started around the time she lost her son and it�s all my fault.� �First off placing blame here isn�t going to help anyone. I don�t know how the two of you are going to work this out but I know you can�t live without her.� �I have no plans of losing her Roman.� He looks down at his watch. �Listen man I have to go, I�ve been gone way to long and I don�t want her thinking I walked out on her or anything. I know she had to have felt the tension in the room after we made love last night�.it was almost like sleeping with somebody I hardly knew.� �Maybe you should give her a call and let her know your down at the station.� Bo just shakes his head no. �She�s probably up by now and god only knows what�s going on in her head with you being gone. I really think you should call her.� Bo picks up his jacket and puts it on. �I really don�t know what to say to her. She stands in front of the door and thinks twice before opening. �Patrick, please come in.� �I didn�t see Bo�s car out front. So I figured it would be safe to knock.� �He must have gone into work already.� He looks up at her. �Are you okay? It looks as thou you�ve been crying.� She wipes her eyes with the shelve of her robe. �I�m fine, it must be allergies.� �I just really stopped by to make sure everything was okay with us.� He says as he sits on the couch. �I know a lots happened and all by it just seemed to me like something was off when I saw you the other day.� Hope takes a deep breath. �Actually there is something we need to talk about.� �We can talk about anything Hope.� �It has to do with the time we spent together on the Island.� �The time we spent together meant the world to me.� He replied as he smiled up at her. She nervously started pacing the floor. �Actually it has more do with that night.� �The night you don�t remember.� He added with a sad look in his eyes. �I�m sorry Patrick and I really wish for your sake that I did remember��.� �But you don�t.� �Patrick something else happened that night and you have ever right to know.� �Am I interrupting something!� Bo asked as he slammed the door behind himself. Hope jumped upon hearing his voice but never turned to look at him. �Listen Brady if your going to be mad at anybody be mad at me.� Patrick stated as he walked past Hope and over towards Bo. �Hope didn�t invite me over, I showed up on my own. I needed to talk to her and make sure she was okay.� Bo is clearly annoyed. �Are you trying to insinuate something?� �Hey man.� Patrick replies with his hands up in the air. �If you don�t know what your wife needs that�s your problem.� �Excuse me!� Bo yells as put both his hands on Patrick�s chest and pushes him backwards. Hope steps in between the two of them. �Patrick I really think you should go now.� He looks at her like he�s crazy. �And leave you here with this maniac?� �Who you calling a maniac Lunkhead?� Bo asked more annoyed then before. Hope turned and looked at Bo. �Bo please let�s not do this.� She then turned her attention back to Patrick. �Patrick, Bo is my husband and he�d never hurt me and you insinuating such a thing is just plain wrong.� She grabs his arm and pulls him towards the door. �I really want you to leave now.� Patrick leans down and whispers in Hope�s ear which totally aggravates Bo. �You said there was something you needed to talk to me about.� �Now isn�t the time.� She quietly states back. �I�ll call you later on in the week.� Patrick gives Bo a if you so much as think about hurting her again I�ll kill you look as Hope literally pushes him out the door. �I can�t believe you were going to tell him!� Bo yelled once he knew Lockhart was out of ear shot. �Bo we�ve gone over this. Patrick is this baby�s father and he has ever right to know.� �And I�m asking you point blank ��NOT to ever tell him.� |
