| CHAPTER 6
�Jerry I really don�t think we should be doing this.� Alexis repeated several times as Jerry pushed her back onto the couch kissing her in places that were driving her crazy. She was so lost in her thoughts and was struggling against her desire to be with this man. What on earth was she doing? Why was she allowing him to engage in his own sexual pleasures? Why was his touch so ��.. ughhhhh she thought to herself I have to stop him before this goes any further� but do I really want to? Yes I do she said firmly in her head only to have him kiss that one special spot on her neck and have her brain yell NO you don�t even louder. �Jerry I can�t do this.� Alexis yelled pushing him off of her with everything inside her being. �We can�t.� Jerry looked her in the eyes and knew she wanted this as much as he did but refused to give into to her own desires. Slowly he took his hand and brought it behind her neck and pulled her into an extremely hot deep kiss. �NOOOOOO!!� Alexis yelled with such a piercing echo that it woke Sonny up and caused about three different doctors and nurses to come running into her hospital room. Sonny held her tight with one hand and held up his other to let everyone know that everything was okay and that he�d take care of her. They all left the room as quickly as they had entered. Sonny rocked Alexis in his arms. �It�s okay Alexis it was only a dream. I�m here, I�ve got you and I�m never going to let you go.� He held her tighter with every passing phrase but no matter how hard he tired he couldn�t get her to calm down. She was as pale as pale could be. Something or someone in her dream scared the crap out of her. But he knew there was no way she was going to let him in, not yet, not now. So he didn�t even try asking her about it. Instead he just kept his arms wrapped around her and found himself unknowingly doing the one thing that made his kids all calm down when they had woken up from a bad nightmare, he began signing to her. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Later on that day Alexis was released from the hospital. She was told she fainted because her blood pressure was extremely high and her blood sugar level extremely low. The doctors told her she need to take it easy and to try to avoid stress which is what they believed caused her to faint. Sure avoid stress Alexis laughed in her head silently. Because lord knows there�s nothing stressful in my life. My oldest daughter isn�t causing havoc everywhere she goes, my middle child isn�t acting out and well lord knows my youngest child isn�t�. she thought for a moment� just like her father. She rolled her eyes at just the thought and her blood pressure probably went up two degrees. �Alexis are you okay?� Sonny asked since she seemed distracted as the doctor was speaking to her. She looked up at Sonny. Oh yeah her mind went on and on, and the men in my life � where do I begin to say they don�t stress me out? My best friend Jax is married to Carly of all people and well Jerry he has me so �.. so confused and warn out. I don�t think Sonny is every going to forgive me. Oh my god Sonny she thought even loud in her head as she looked away from him. No this man doesn�t stress me out at all. Heck he�s going to insist he takes me home and then get me all settled in, feeling comfortable and then he�s just going to turn into the perfect charming gentleman and drop everything no questions ask. �Yea right!� Alexis said out loud as her doctor and Sonny both gave her a strange look. �Um of course I�ll spend the rest of the day in bed and take it easy.� She said trying to cover up the fact that she had no idea what they were even talking about. �That�s all I can ask of you.� He then replied before signing her chart and handing Sonny her walking papers. Sonny helped Alexis on with her coat and sure enough he insisted on taking her home. He told her Milo had the limo out front and he was expecting them. Alexis so wanted to object but she knew that that just wasn�t going to fly. There was no way she was going to be able to win this fight, so why even try. Besides she was too tired to fight. She just hope the limo ride home was going to be a quiet one. She wasn�t ready to talk to Sonny yet. Heck if the truth be told she didn�t know how to explain herself and for a woman of her intelligence she found that so unacceptable. Sonny helped Alexis into the limo and sat next to her. He wasn�t sure if he should approach the subject of Jerry and what happened between them or not. So he looked over at her and her eyes quickly left his. It seems like it or not now wasn�t the time to mention Jerry. Maybe he should start with something more simple like what happened between the two of them and why it is that she�s been ignoring him. Just when he was about to start talking to her about it he suddenly decided to wait. He decided that maybe they just shouldn�t talk in the limo at all. Especially since she continued to stare out the window. Had she wanted to talk to him she would have by now he said over and over to himself. Thankfully for the both of them the limo pulled up in front of her house. Sonny helped her out of the car and ushered Milo and the driver to leave. A real uneasy feeling come over Alexis as she saw the limo drive off. She knew this was it, the time of truth. There was no running from here and breathlessly she felt it in her heart as well. Sonny smiled at her and kissed the top of her forehead before he unlocked her door and the two of them walked in. �Mommy, daddy!� Kristina screamed as she ran into their arms. Viola came walking out of the kitchen with Molly in her arms. Sonny took her from her, gave her a big hug and then handed her to Alexis. He hated the fact that she had a kid with his younger brother, the man who caused her so much grief in her life. But he knew that no matter who her father was he loved that little girl like his own. His eyes wandered off of Alexis and Molly and over to Kristina as he realized that he�s given her just as much grief if not more during their term as friends. How did their relationship get so out of hand? Why did he choose Carly all those years ago over Alexis? He asked himself as he shook his head and walked over to the fireplace suddenly feeling out of place. Alexis asked Viola to take the girls into the kitchen and feed them some lunch when she noticed the look on Sonny�s face and his lack of eye contact with her or the children. She knew something was wrong she hoped he wasn�t thinking about her and Jerry and what they did. Slowly after the kids left the room she made her way over to Sonny and placed her hand on his shoulder. She knew that time was running out and they had to take about what happened. Sonny took her hand in his and brought it up to his lips kissing it lightly. A small smile came across her face and that lighten the hole in his heart. A hole that he hoped she would fill and more importantly would want to fill. �Alexis I know we have a lot to talk about but there is something that I need to say to you before we get into everything.... Something that I really think you need to hear." Oh god here we go is this really happening? Alexis asked herself as her heart skipped several beats. Do I really want to hear this? He's totally lost it if he thinks I want to hear this....Think Alexis think .. there has to be something you can do to stop him from talking.... Something ..... anything you�re a Cassadine for Pete sake�. Think. �Something that I probably should have said to you years ago but just never had the courage to say. Years ago � years ago. What could he possibly have wanted to say to me years ago that he never said. She looked up at him and then quickly looked away. Oh lord this has something to do with that night, the night that Kristina was conceived. Now this I know, I don�t want to hear. Sonny made his choice back then and all that needed to be said was said and he doesn�t need to say anymore on the subject. He loved Carly or at least he thought he loved Carly and well she loved him and love is love no matter how sick and twisted that love maybe. Alexis took a deep breath as she took her one hand and placed it over her face. My head is spinning out of control and I so can�t do this. She yelled in her head so loud she gave herself a headache. Sonny took her hand away from her face and let it drop down to her side. God she looked so beautiful just standing there speechless. The night they spent last week came running back into his brain. How the hell did I ever let this woman go? He placed his hand behind her neck and pulled her close to him. Their faces were inches apart and they could feel the others breath on their faces. Her eyes locked on his and they both knew they were lost, they were in too deep and there was no turning back. Too bad they didn�t know that�s exactly what the other was feeling. Maybe if they just told each other the truth they wouldn't be lost in their never ending lie of longing for one another all the while trying so hard to protect their heart and soul. Their hearts were full and their breath was breathless as Sonny leaned in and touched his lips against hers. She could feel her feet come off the ground as he wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her off of them while pressing her body tighter to his. She couldn�t handle it anymore as she parted her lips and encouraged him to enter her mouth. Their tongues intertwined and their eyes closed shut. They were instantly lost in the hot sensual kiss, both feeling the urgency to rip each other�s clothes off right there and then. His hands making their way under her blouse and hers down his backside. They were so lost in their wanting for the other that they never heard the pitter patter of tiny little steps running their way calling out their names. In fact it wasn�t until Kristina tugged on Alexis arm that they breathless pulled apart. �Mommy, daddy lunch is ready aren�t you going to eat with Molly and me?� Their eyes were still lock on each other�s as Sonny pleaded with hers to tell her no and to go with him in the other room. Something she desperately wanted to do knowing the truth about Jerry�s involvement in the shooting and the fact that she has known for some time and hasn�t told him would end everything between the two of them and this might be her last chance of ever making love to the one man she has denied being in love with for way too many years. God her sister Kristina was right all those years ago. She should have told Sonny she was in love with him and then maybe just maybe things would have been different. Alexis snapped herself out of her thoughts and was about to give in to her desire and tell her daughter no they wouldn�t be joining her and her sister for lunch when Sonny opened his mouth and said they�d love to. Alexis was completely caught off guard as Kristina took her daddy�s hand and lead him into the kitchen. She thought for a moment before heading into the kitchen as well only to be stopped by the sound of the doorbell. �I went by the hospital to check on you only to be told you were released earlier this morning.� Diane said walking right past Alexis never once looking at her. �I wanted to come by before you were sent home but I had to be in court at this godly hour.� She added as she finally looked over at her. �Girl you look like you just crawled out of bed. You really should tuck that blouse in it would be so much more attractive. Not to mention brush your hair, it looks like you�ve allowed a bird or something to attack it.� She grabbed her arm and lead her over to the couch. �Besides you look a little flush and probably shouldn�t be on your feet.� �Alexis what�s taking you so long?� Sonny asked walking out of the kitchen looking just as flush as Alexis. Diane picked her coat up off the couch and smiled. �I just came over to see if Alexis was alright and since she is I�m just going to be going.� Alexis grabbed a hold of Diane�s arm as she tried to make a quick getaway. She so didn�t want Diane to leave. She didn�t want the conversation that she knew eventually was going to come up to come up. The last thing she wanted was to be alone with Sonny and Diane knew it but yet didn�t care as she blew Sonny a kiss, smile seductively at Alexis and closed the door behind her. Alexis turned around and nervously smiled at Sonny before taking the long way around the couch towards the kitchen. Of course she didn�t make it out of the living room as Sonny stepped in front of her. �There�s something I need to tell you Alexis before I lose my nerve.� Alexis bit her bottom lip. �The girls are waiting Sonny can�t this wait till after lunch?� She asked trying desperately to walk around him with no luck what so ever. �No it can�t!� Sonny replied somewhat frustrated. �Alexis Davis I lo��.� �Coming Kristina.� Alexis yelled not actually hearing Kristina call as she pushed Sonny aside not realizing what it was Sonny was about to say. Sonny threw his hands up and shook his head. Fine if she won�t let me tell her when we�re alone then she�ll hear it in a room full of people. But one way or another I�m going to tell her I love her and I�m damn well going to make sure she hears me loud and clear. |
