| CHAPTER 3
Later on that evening Alexis woke up and was surprised to see Sonny still sleeping next to her. She figured he would have been gone by now. She wasn�t really sure why she felt that way but she just did. Careful as to not wake him she slowly got out of bed and walked over to her closet pulling out her pink silk robe. She placed it on her body and smiled back at him as she tied it. She thought about waking him and sending him home but she knew the children would still be awake and she really didn�t want to speak to him anyway. Slowly she closed the door behind herself and walked into the other room. Viola and the girls were sitting on the couch watching a movie. �Ms Davis.� Viola said as she walked over picked up Molly and sat on the couch. �We didn�t know you were home. Did you get my note?� �Yeah I got it.� �I know it�s kinda late but like I said I didn�t know you were home and the girls wanted to see you before they went to sleep.� Alexis looked over at the clock and didn�t realize herself how late the hour was. �Okay girls mommy�s home and it�s way past bedtime. �We don�t want to go to bed mommy.� The girls both argued in unison. It had taken some doing and a lot of promises before Alexis finally got the girls to retreat into their room and into their beds. Molly climbed up on Kristina�s bed and Alexis read them not one not two but three fairytales before she picked a sleeping Molly off her sisters bed and placed her in her own. Molly thanks mostly to her father was scared of everything so she now shared a room with her older sister. Thankfully Kristina didn�t mind all that much. Alexis kissed both her girls goodnight before she shut the light out and headed back to the living room. She stopped once however and peeked in on a sleeping Sonny. Again she thought about waking him up and sending him on his way but she knew Kristina was still awake and had a bad habit of coming out of her room at least two or three times before she fell asleep. Viola handed her a glass of water once she walked back in the room. Alexis took the glass form her without so much as a word. She could tell that Ms Davis seemed a little off tonight and after a few minutes of trying to make pleasant conversation with her she knew the best thing to do would be to go to bed. So she said her goodnights and off she went. Alexis knew she made Viola uncomfortable and she didn�t mean to. She just wasn�t in the mood for company at the moment. She thought about going back into her room and apologizing to her but then thought that she would just wait until tomorrow. Viola would understand, she always did. Alexis walked over to the now unlit fireplace and debated about whether or not to relight it. She still had no idea why she was in such a gloomy mood. Lord knows she wasn�t in this kind of funk while she was making love to Sonny first in the shower and then several times in her bed until they both wore themselves out. She looked back at her bedroom door and knew she should be just as exhausted as Sonny was yet she couldn�t sleep. Every time she closed her eyes all she thought about was the same thing. Jerry Jacks and the trouble he has caused her. She seriously considered telling Sonny what had happened but she knows he wouldn�t understand. Besides what good would it do, she told herself over and over again hoping to believe it for herself. Sonny as powerful as he was wasn�t going to be able to keep her from going to jail once Jerry�s money laundering through her accounts was found out. And lord only knows what Sonny would do if he ever found out that she had sleep with him. Sonny had warned her several times about getting involved with Jerry on any level especially on of a sexual nature. He told her over and over again that he was a very dangerous man that could not be trusted. But Alexis didn�t care or more importantly didn�t want to listen because she refused to allow any man especially Sonny Corinthos, of all people, to tell her who she could associate with. She didn�t understand really why his opinion matter so much but for some reason it just did. And every time Sonny said one thing she went out of her way to do just the opposite and worse yet she knew he knew it. Like for example getting into bed with the likes of Jerry Jacks, literally. FLASHBACK It had been a long day and Alexis was just leaving the DA�s office on her way home when her car slid off the road nearly hitting a tree. She got out of the car and kicked it hard when she saw that her back tire had blown out. �Great what else can go wrong.� She said to herself as she took out her cell phone and found it dead. Luckily for her a car was coming down the road and stopped. However she wasn�t too pleased to see Jerry Jacks off all people get out of the driver�s seat. He walked over to her and played a few minds games with her along with their usually flirting game. For some reason Alexis couldn�t help but play. She always did love the bad boys and Sonny and Ric were true examples of that. After a little bit of protest from Alexis, Jerry finally helped her into his car and they drove off. He promised her he�d send for her car later. On the way to her place he mentioned that he really needed to get home because he was expecting a real important call but hopefully it wouldn�t come in before he dropped her off. Alexis insisted right there and then that they went to his place and she could call a cab from there. He tried to argue with her but she was very adamant about it. She kept insisting she didn�t want him to go out of his way. Alexis felt really weirded out for some reason as they entered his apartment and she knew right away she shouldn�t be there. But yet she was drawn to him and the excitement that he presented. His phone rang and he went to answer it. He told her first to help herself to a drink if she�d like the call would only take a minute and then he�d be happy to take her home. Alexis waited for him to go into the other room before she took off her jacket and poured herself a stiff drink. It had been a really long day and she so needed it. A few minutes later and two drinks later Jerry walked out of his bedroom and joined her in a drink. She suddenly felt uncomfortable as he sat on the couch next to her and held her hand. Jerry tried his hardest to get her to relax so he let go of her hand and shifted his body several inches away from hers. He decided the best way to get to her was to seduce her with her own need to feel wanted. He told her several times how much he admired not only her but the work that she does for her. Alexis was falling for his sleazy charm hook line and sinker and he knew it. Her continued to charm her with his piercing eyes and undeniable sex appeal and before you knew it she had moved closer to him and that was all he needed to make his move.� END FLASHBACK A cold shiver went through Alexis�s body causing her to come out of her state of mind and back to reality. She looked back down the hall at her bedroom door and knew Sonny would never understand her giving in to Jerry the way she did. Her eyes began to swell up and the tears threaten to fall as she made her way back to her bedroom. She wiped her face and tried to stay strong as she opened the door to her room. She held her breath and prayed that Sonny was still asleep and thankfully he was. She walked into her bathroom and washed her face before walking back into the room and opening a few dresser draws pulling out the clothes she needed to put on so she could make a quick exit before he woke. I�m sorry Sonny she thought to herself as her eyes began to once again tear up just at the sight of him in her bed. I know you�re going to think I�m a coward for leaving you here in my house and running away but I just can�t look you in the eyes and explain ��� especially with you here in my bed. She took her eyes off of him and finally got the last of her items put together and was on her way back into her bathroom to get dressed when Sonny stirred and looked up. �Hey beautiful.� Sonny said trying to focus on her face while patting the bed. �Where you going?� Alexis threw her clothes on the bathroom floor before Sonny could catch a glimpse of them. �Nowhere.� Was all she said as she took off her robe and let it drop to the floor. He smiled up at how easily she slipped out of her robe and exposed her inner beauty as he pulled back the sheet and she climbed in next to him. He rolled his body half on top of hers as he placed tiny kisses along her neckline and down the front of her chest. God this felt so right and he felt she good, she kept thinking to herself knowing how it could never last when he found out that she had slept with the enemy. Her eyes felt heavy as she said to herself �and not any enemy the man responsible for putting a hit out on him, almost killing his oldest son Michael. |
