�Because you and I both wanted it to.� Cameron replied wrapping his arms tightly around her body.
�I thought you were sleeping.�
�How on earth could I possible sleep with you touching me the way you are.�
She kisses his chest. �It�s not that I didn�t want what happened between us to happen I just can�t believe I let it happen.�
�You know Alexis it�s okay to be hapy.�
�How can I be happy when my daughter is across town living with people she doesn�t belong with.�
�You know there�s still one other option.�
�Yeah what�s that.�
�What about telling her dad about her and asking him for help.�
�He wouldn�t help me and if anything I�d probably just lose her to him.�
�Are you sure about that.�
She brings her lips closer to his. �What do you say we do something other then talk.�
�Alexis you know I�d love to but I�d also love it if you�d let me into that pretty little head of yours.� She lays her head back on his chest. �Please tell me what your so scared of.�
�I don�t want to talk about Ned or about Kristina�s biological father. � She takes a deep breath �Especailly not tonight, not after what we just shared.�
�Okay fine I�ll drop it for now, but is it okay if I ask you about something else?�
�Depends on what it is.� She states rubbing his chest.
�I don�t want tonight to be a one night thing.� She closes her eyes. �And I�d like to know that you feel the same way.�
There�s a strong silence in the room for a moment
�Cameron I really don�t know what I feel.�
He kisses the top of her head leaving his lips there. �I think you do, your just to scared to let it out, to let me know how you feel.�
�Right now I feel safe and that�s all I�m willing to share with you. I hope it�s enough.�
Holding her tighter. �It�s a lot more then I knew before.�
She picks her head up and looks at him. �So now that I shared a piece of my inside soul with you.� she looks down at his chest blushing. �Do you think we could pick up where we left off before you feel asleep.�
He lifts her chin with his two fingers. �I told you I wasn�t sleeping.�
Bitting her bottom lip and smiling. �Can I take that as a yes?�
�Well you can take this as a yes.� He replied pulling her body upwards to his mouth.

Cameron and Alexis both jump out of a sound sleep when they hear pounding on the door.
Cameron looks over at the clock, which read 2:15am. �Who the hell can that be at this hour.�
Alexis gives him a look. �Oh no.�
�What?� He asked not really wanting to know the answer.
Alexis jumps out of bed and throws on a robe. �Whatever you do, do not come out of this room.�
�Alexis what�s going on.�
�I�ll explain in a mintue I promise.�
Alexis goes and answer the door. She comes back to the room a few mintues later to find Cameron fully dressed and so waiting for answers.
Scrambling to get dressed. �I have to go out for a little bit but I�ll be back as soon as possible.�
�Oh no you aren�t going to walk out of here in the middle of the night without telling me what the heck is going on.�
�I don�s supose we could talk about this when I get back?�
Hearing something in the other room. �Alexis is that a baby crying?�
She looks out the door and then back to him. �It�s Kristina ,,, but I swear I can explain.�
Sitting in the chair. �Oh this should be good.�
�I�ll be right back.� Cameron starts to get up. �I promise.� Holding her hand out. �Don�t move.�
Alexis runs out of the room and quickly comes back holding Kristina.
�Alexis you know you shouldn�t have that child here.�
Talking very quickly. �I know it�s just I had this plan---- as you well know---- and well when you stopped me from doing what I was going to do and then one thing leading to another I kinda forgot to call somebody and let them know that my plans changed and I was no longer going to do what I was going to do and -------�
�Alexis will you please get to the point.�
�My point is, is Kristina is here and I need to get her back to the Quatermaine house before they realize she�s gone.�
�If they haven�t already, and just how did she get here?�
Handing Kristina to Cameron in order to put her shoes on. �I kinda convinced Alice to bring her here.�
�Alice knew what you planned on doing and went along with it.�
�Well not really.�
�What do you mean not really.�
�I just told her that I really need to see her and that the Quatermaines were-----�
�In other words you were going to leave town with Kristina and leave poor Alice high and dry.�
Taking Kristina back from him. �I planned on leaving her a note explaining why I did what I did.�
Frustrated. �And that would have made up for everything?�
�Okay so I didn�t really think everything through, but all I was thinking about was getting my daughter back.�
Shaking his head in total disblief. �We are going to talk about this when I get back.�
�When you get back?�
Holding his arms out. �Say goodnight to your daughter�
�What are you going to do?�
�I along with Alice am going to take Kristina home.�
Holding Kristina tight. �Not without me you aren�t.�
�Oh no you are NOT going with us.�
�Cameron please-----�
�Alexis the last thing you need is to get caught with Kristina in your atrms.�
�But but---�
Taking Kristina from her. �No buts about it, Kristina is coming with me and you�re staying here.� Alexis is about to say something but he doesn�t let her. �We�ll talk about this when I get back.�
Running out in the other room after him. �What if you get caught?�
�Don�t worry about me, I�ll be fine.� He looks over at Alice. �Come on lets go.�
Running after him. �Cameron.�
Very firmly. �We�ll talk about this when I get back.�
Pleading. �Please don�t be mad at me.�
Pulling her close and kissing her forehead. �I�m not mad at you, I know why you did what you did. It might not have been the smartest thing or the right thing but I do understand.�
�Thank you.� She says kissing Kristina�s little fingers.
�I�ll be back as soon as I can.�
Looking in his eyes. �Please be careful.�
He smiles at her before he leaves her apartment carrying a now sleeping Kristina in his arms.
