~ The Docks ~
Jax is standing there staring out at the water when Alexis comes walking behind him.
�Please tell me you have good news for me where my daughter is concerned.� Jax turns and looks at her. �That looks more like a face of defeat.�
�Alexis I�m sorry I did everything I could possible think of and everything I did just backfired on me.�
�Jax I can�t just sit around here and wait for Judge Farmer to say it�s okay to see my own daughter, I have to do something.� She looks away from him. �Something I should have done a long time ago.�
�Alexis I know that sound in your voice and I know it means your up to know good.�
Still not looking at him. �Will you help me?�
He places his hands on her shoulders. �You know I�d do anything for you Alexis, but I don�t think this is one of your better ideas.�
�I�m running out of choices Jax.� She looks him in the eyes. �I can�t stand being away from her. I hate the fact that she�s growing up without me. I�ve already missed to much.�
�Alexis this has to be another way.�
�Jax did you know she has two teeth already and I didn�t get to see either of them come in.� He�s about to say something but she places her finger over his lips. �That she�s already sitting up on her own and in a blink of an eye should could be walking.� Pleading with him. �I don�t want to miss her take her first step.�
�And you shouldn�t have to. I�m sure if you and Ned sat down you could work something out without going to extremes.�
�Jax, Ned and I have tried to work things out, several times and yet I�m still without my little girl and he�s tucking her in at night.�
�Alexis I don�t think I�m the right person to help you with this.�
�I know you know people who can get us some fake ID in a heartbeat. So why won�t you help me?�
�Alexis you can get the same things I can.�
�Not like you can Jax, besides I need to make sure it can�t be traced back to me.�
Pondering it for a moment. �Are you sure there�s no other way then taking your daughter in the middle of the night and skipping town.�
�Actually I plan on doing it right in the middle of a busy work day.�
�And just how do you plan on pulling this off?�
Placing her hands on his face. �Jax trust me I�m a Cassidine, I know what I�m doing.�
�What you�re doing is not thinking right.�
�Does that mean you won�t help me?�
�I didn�t say that.�
Pulls him close and kisses him. �How soon before you can get me the paperwork I need.�
�I can get it to you by the end of day, but I really wish you�d reconsider what you�re doing.�
�I�ve thought about this for a while Jax and I really hoped it wouldn�t have to come to this.�
Tears in his eyes. �I�m going to miss you, you know.�
�I�ll figure out a way to get in touch with you once Kristina and I settle down.
�You better.� He says walking away.
~General Hospital ( the next morning) ~
Cameron steps off the elevator and walks over to the main desk. �Good Morning Bobbie, do I have any messages.�
�Yes your eleven o�clock called to cancel and Alan wanted to see you when you got in.�
�Thanks Bobbie� He walks away and his phone rings. �Cameron Lewis.�
Coming through the phone line. �Hey Cameron it�s me Alexis I was hoping you�d meet me at Kelly�s for breakfast.�
�Alexis are you okay you seem a little strange.�
�I�m fine really, can you meet me in an hour.�
He looks at his watch. �I�ll be there.�
~ Alexis�s Penthouse ~
She hangs up the phone and throws it on the chair in the corner. She bends down and pulls a suitcase out from under her bed. In no order at all she throws everything on her bed into it. She looks around the room frantically and then walks out into the living room. She places her suitcase next to a few boxes that she�s already packed. The door bell rings and she walks over but doesn�t answer it. �Who is it?�
�Zander.�
Looking back at the boxes. �Zander I�m on the phone right now with a client can you come back later?�
�I thought you weren�t able to practice yet.�
Fidgeting. �I�m not I�m only consulting, I�ll call you later, maybe we can get together for lunch.�
�Alexis is everything okay?�
�It will be as soon as you let me get back to my phone call.�
�Why don�t you let me in I�ll wait.�
Trying to think. �I�m �..ummmmmm �� I�m not fully dressed yet and I really can�t put this client on hold any longer.� She walks away from the door and hollers. �I�ll call you later.�
~ Kelly�s an hour and a half later ~
Cameron is sitting at the table looking at his watch when Alexis comes running in.
She grabs a hold of his wrist. �I know you don�t have to say it.�
�If I didn�t know you better Alexis I�d figure I�ve been stood up.�
Sitting down. �Trust me you don�t know me half as well as you think you do.�
�I know your kind and that�s all that���
Looking at him like his lost one of his marbles. �You know my kind?�
�Why don�t you just tell me why you invited me to breakfast.�
�Not until you explain your last comment.�
�It would just make you more upset that you apparently already are.�
�You are so full of yourself, aren�t you.�
Waitress walks over.
�Are we going to order or fight?� Cameron asks
Alexis looks up at her. �I�ll have some coffee and he�ll have the special.�
She walks off.
Cameron drops his menu. �What makes you think I even like the special? You have no idea what it even is.�
�If you don�t like it you can order something else after I leave.�
�You invite me to breakfast and you aren�t even staying.�
�Listen Cameron I�d love to stay longer but I can�t. My errands this morning took longer then I thought and I really need to get back home.�
�Do you have a hot and heavy lunch date or something?�
Loking at him. �No I just have to be home that�s all. Now I wanted to meet you here so I could thank you in person for everything you�ve done for me and to apologize�� He gives her a look. �Yes apologize for everything I�ve done to you.� She places her hand on his. �You�ve been a great friend and I really appeciate everything you did to help me with Kristina.�
�Alexis has something happened since last night?�
She takes her hand off of his, sits back and begins to ramble. �No, it�s just I thought about the two of us and the awakard conversation we had not only last night but in the past few months and I want you to understand if I gave you the wrong impression of my feelings for you or lead you on in any way I�m sorry.�
�Hold on one second, where on earth is this coming from?�
She stand up. �I really do have to go I�m sorry.�
By the time he stood up she already ran out of Kelly�s. He tried to ran after her but by the time he made it outside she was already gone.
�Okay Alexis Davis just what the hell are you up to?�
Emily and Zander come walking around the corner.
�Did either of you pass Alexis on your way in?�
�Sorry Dr. Lewis we didn�t see her.�
�Emily would you mind if I spoke to my son for a moment?�
Emily looks at Zander. �No problem I�ll just be inside.�
Cameron waits for Emily to walk in. �Alexander did anything strange happen last night after I left Alexis�s?�
�Strange like what?�
�I don�t know anything? What did the two of you talk about?�
�Nothing unusal, that�s for sure.� He looks at his father. �Dad is something going on that I should know about?�
�I�m not really sure Alexander, but I�m going to find out.�
