Alexis wiped her eyes as she slowly opened them. She looked down at her watch blinking a few times as it read 3am. She didn�t remember falling asleep but she knows for sure she didn�t walk to her bedroom. She looked around the room spotting Jax sound asleep on the chair in the corner. Halfheartedly smiling she got up grabbed the blanket off the foot of her bed covering him.
Stirring. �I�m not asleep�
Laughing �I didn�t mean to wake you.�
�What are you doing out of bed?�
�What are you doing sleeping in my chair?�
�I told you I wasn�t sleeping.�
�Better question should be how did I get into my bed.�
�A little fairy picked you up and tucked you in.�
�My my Jasper Jacks I have thought of you as a lot of things over the years but never a fairy.�
Smiling �I see your feeling better.�
Patting the side of his face like he was a little puppy dog. �How could I not opening my eyes to the sight of your face.�
�Cute.�
Laughing and walking away. �Seriously, want to tell me when you decided to become my personally babysitter.�
Stretching his arms out. �I�d like to think of myself as more of a bodyguard.�
Looking at his naked chest and then quickly looking away as the blanket falls from his body. �You really don�t have to stay, I�ll be okay.�
�Your going to be better then okay, but if you don�t mind.� She�s about to say something but he cuts her off. �And even if you do I�m not going anywhere.�
�Fine, but wouldn�t you be more comfortable on the couch?�
�I�m fine right here, and if you don�t want me to tuck you in again I suggest you crawl back into that bed of yours right now.�
Crawling under the covers. �I can�t sleep with you watching me.�
�I�ll close my eyes if you close yours.�
Lying her head on her pillow. �Jax thanks.�
�I told you I wasn�t going anywhere.�
�No I mean for helping me take my mind off my problems, if even only for a few minutes.�
~The Next Morning ~
Alexis comes walking out of her bedroom fully dressed. She can smell the food cooking in the kitchen as she makes her way in.
�God you have no idea how much I miss living with you.�
�I knew you only married me for my cooking.� He hands her a glass full of yucky orange colored stuff.
�As much as I love you, and you know that I do, I will never so much as take a sip of another one of your protein shakes.�
Door bell rings
�Saved by the bell.� She gets up and walks into the other room.
�Alexis it�s Cameron you home.�
Opening the door. �Please tell me you have some good news.�
Looking at her attire. �I�m sorry I didn�t mean to wake you.�
�I�m actually surprised she�s up myself.� Jax states walking into the room. �I thought I was going to have to serve her breakfast in bed.�
Cameron gives them both a strange look. �If I�m interrupting something I can come back later.�
Alexis looks back at Jax before taking Cameron by the arm and pulling him to the couch. �Forget Jax, tell me what Judge Farmer had to say. When can I get my daughter back?�
�Alexis I�m sorry but it isn�t going to be that easy.�
�Cameron she�s my daughter why is it so hard for her to understand that?�
�Alexis the only thing she sees, is that Ned right now is the better parent.�
�I want my child out of that house.�
Jax walks over and sits on the arm of the couch behind her. �Sweetie your going to get her back.�
Looking at him. �Yeah but when Jax, when am I going to get her back? Tomorrow, next week, next year? Either way anything less then today is to long. I�ve already, thanks to Ned and the Q�s, lost to much time with her.�
�Alexis you can�t blame the Quatermaines for losing Kristina.�
Yelling. �Why can�t I Cameron? Everything would have been fine if AJ didn�t burn down the gatehouse.�
Placing his hand on her shoulder. �Alexis, Cameron is only trying to be honest with you.� Looking at him. �For all the good it�s done.�
�I have done everything in my power to help Alexis.�
�Trust me Doc I know exactly what kind of help you�ve given Alexis.�
Cameron stands up. �Well where the hell have you been in all of this.�
Jax standing as well. �I would have jumped on the first plane and came home if Alexis needed me, and she knows it.� Looking at Alexis. �Why she didn�t call me we have yet to discuss.�
�Guys please the two of you fighting isn�t going to help me get Kristina back.�
�I�m going to go down to the courthouse and talk to Judge Farmer in person, maybe I can get her to change her mind or at least see things a little differently.�
Showing him to the door. �Thank you Cameron.�
�Now that he�s gone what do you say we eat breakfast before it gets any colder.�
�Jax can you please try and be a little nicer to him?�
Walking towards the kitchen. �When he gets you Kristina back then we�ll talk.�
