Alexis has been exposed, thanks to Ned and Skye, as �Dobson� and has once again put her chances of gaining custody of her little girl at risk.
CHAPTER 1
~Alexis�s penthouse~
�Why the hell is this happening to me.� She throws a pillow across the room. �All I wanted to do was be a lawyer and get away from the damn Cassidines.� She picks up a picture of her and Kristina just after she was born. �And now look at me I�m no longer a lawyer, no longer a Cassidine, I slept with a mobster because I was scared to death of what life with Ned would be like, and worst of all gave birth to an amazing little girl and I can�t even hold her in my arms and tell her how much I love her.� She notices Ned standing in the back of the photography and rubs her thumb across his image as tears begin to roll down her cheek. �I may have not understood how much I hurt you when I ran out of our wedding.� She sits on the couch and holds the photo close to her heart. �But trust me I do now.�
~ Quatermaine Living room ~
Ned is standing over by the wet bar slamming back a drink or two when Skye bounces into the room.
Throwing her arms around him. �We did it Ned, we got Alexis out of our lives for good.� She walks over to Kristina�s carriage. �And now you and I can have everything we�ve worked so hard to get.�
�How can you be so full of yourself?� He turns and looks at a shocked Skye. �Alexis just lost her child thanks to the two of us.�
�Ned, you and I both know that Kristina is so much better off without Alexis.�
�No Skye you may think that but I don�t.�
�Ned Ashton how can you be so evil.� Emily yells walking into the room. �Alexis is Kristina�s mother and you did everything in your power to make sure she�d never see her again. You are no better then Grandfather.�
�Emily you have no idea how�.�
�Shut up Skye.� Turning her attention back to Ned. �You don�t know what I would give to have my mother here with me right now. A mother is the most important person in a girls life, and at one point in your life you must have felt that way yourself other wise Brooke-Lynn would be living here right now.�
�Emily I never meant for Alexis to lose fully custody of Kristina. All I ever wanted was to be a part of my little girls life.�
�So you scheme with Skye to totally humiliate her? You know after everything that happened to the two of you I really believed you still loved her, I guess I was wrong.�
�I do love Alexis.�
Skye steps between the two of them. �There�s a fine line between love and hate.�
�Yes there is Skye and right now I bet Alexis thinks Ned hates her, and personally I can�t blame her.�
Ned pushes Skye to one side. �Emily keep an eye on Kristina for me I have to go.�
�Ned where are you going.�
Emily grabs Skye�s arm stopping her from running after him.
�Let go of me.�
�Ned needs to make things right and as soon as he does you�ll be nothing but a bad memory.�
Getting her arm free. �Why are you treating me like this.�
�Why are you playing with other peoples life�s?�
~ Alexis�s Penthouse ~
Alexis is still sitting on the couch holding little Kristina�s picture and crying.
Knocking on the door �Alexis it�s Jax open up.�
�Jax I don�t really feel like company right now.�
Lying his head against the door. �Alexis I heard what happened and I�m sorry.�
�Jax please..�
�Alexis I�m sorry I wasn�t here for, if I would have known things were this bad I would have never left you. I thought Cameron was helping you, I didn�t realize he was only hurting you by not helping you cope with what�s going on around you.�
�Jax, Cameron didn�t hurt me. He only tried to help.�
�Alexis please open the door and let me in.�
�I just need to be alone.�
�That�s the last thing you need Alexis, now either let me in or I�ll let myself in.�
Alexis slowly placed the picture on the coffee table and walked over to the door. �If I let you in and you see for yourself that I�m okay will you leave?�
�Let me in and we�ll talk about it.�
Alexis opened the door and looked at Jax who was standing there with his arms wide open. She didn�t need to think about it, she just threw herself into them. Jax held her tight for a moment and then picked her up and walked over to the couch sitting down.
�Doesn�t it feel better to know you have somebody on your side?�
She looked him in the eyes. �I need my little girl back.�
Kissing the top of her head. �Don�t worry you�ll get her back, I promise.�
Pulling away from him. �Jax by the time I get her back she won�t even know who I am.�
There�s a knock on the door and Jax goes to answer it.
Pushing his way past. �Alexis I need to talk to you.�
Walking away from him. �Ned I have nothing to say to you.�
�Then just listen.�
�I have no intention of listening to your lies.�
�Alexis I never meant for any of this to happen.�
�Oh you never meant to plot with Skye while you bedded her?�
�I don�t want you to lose Kristina.�
Yelling �Thanks to you I already have.�
Walking over. �Ned maybe this isn�t a good time.�
�Jax stay out of this, this is between me and Alexis.�
�No this is between us and the courts. I won�t let you win Ned Ashton, I won�t let you take MY daughter.�
�Alexis if you let me I can help you get partial custody �..�
Walking towards him. �Partial custody�partial custody .. Ned Ashton I plan on getting my daughter back full time and after everything you�ve done you�ll be lucky if you ever get to see her again.�
Jax walks between the two of them and pushes Ned towards the door. �I really think you should leave now.�
�Jax I have to get her to understand that I never meant to hurt her.�
�Ned the only thing Alexis understands right now is that you and the Q�s have custody of her little girl and she isn�t even allowed to see her.�
�Jax will you please talk to her and explain that I can help.�
Jax looked back at her. �Right now I don�t think she�d hear me, but I�ll talk to her.�
�Thank you.� He leaves.
Alexis looks up at him �Jax I don�t need you to tell me what I already know.�
