| CHAPTER 7
Later on that day Alexis is in her office at the Metro Court. She�s throwing papers around her desk left and right. As much as she loved spending the better portion of the day with Sonny and the girls, she knew she should have been working. She hated being so far behind and she knew she would now have to work late into the night. But she didn�t care, she wasn�t sure why, but she didn�t. As she continues to throw papers around she couldn�t help but get lost in thoughts, which brought a huge smile to her face. Kristina laughing so hard at the faces Sonny was making while feeding ice cream to her little sister during lunch and then later the girls pushing him on the swing in the park. When did Sonny Corinthos become such a down to earth guy? When did he become��well a real loving father, who actually plays with his kids? Who isn�t all about the mob�.errr coffee business. Heck an all around nice guy ? Somebody who makes her think all work and no play isn�t such a great way to live her life. Her thoughts grew even deeper when she looked up and saw the photo on her desk of Kristina wrapping her arms around the back of her daddy�s neck. She remembered the day that picture was taken like it was yesterday and just thinking about it made her heart melt. Oh my gosh was he always this kind loving person? Was he always this�� She slaps herself and speaks out loud. �Why are you even thinking about him like this Alexis.� �Would you like to tell me why my brother is spending more time with my daughter then I am? Ric snapped causing her to nearly jump out of her skin. �Ric, I don�t have time for this.� �Well maybe you could tell me when a good time for us to talk about our daughter would be? I�m sure if Sonny walked in here right now and demanded to talk about Kristina, the daughter you love, you�d drop everything for him.� �Ric, you�re delusional and you really need to let that one go.� �Alexis I gave you Molly back to keep her safe. Not to put her into more danger and if you don�t keep her away from Sonny I�m going to���� She threw the papers she was holding down on her desk and stood up. �I am so tired of your damn threats Ric. Now get out of my office before I call security and have you thrown out on your ass.� �I�d like to see you try.� She picked up the phone and he slammed it down. �I�ll leave once you tell me, what you plan on doing about our daughter.� �If you think I am going to stand here and let you intimidate me, you have another thing coming.� �Oh my loving son, playing nice with his ex-wife.� Trevor said smiling as he walked through the open door. �It almost breaks a fathers heart.� �Dad what are you doing here?� Ric asked �I came by to talk with Alexis.� He looks over at her. �However if I�m interrupting anything important I�d be happy to come back later.� She motions for him to sit. �Your son was just leaving.� �I am not going anywhere and what happened to your arm?� She looks down at the bruise and tries to cover it up. �It�s none of your business. Now if you don�t mind I�d like you to leave.� Ric just stands there trying to stare Alexis down. �Richard.� Trevor laughed. �I know I�ve taught you better then to sick around when somebody has asked you nicely to leave.� He turns and looks at Alexis. �I�m sorry for my sons bad behavior. I haven�t a clue what�s gotten into him. I know his mother��..� �Don�t you dare talk about my mother.� Ric screamed Trevor threw his arms up in the air and jokingly said . �Touchy touchy.� �My mother is a subject you and I aren�t going to��.� �Ric will you just leave already!� Alexis stated firmly cutting him off. �I don�t really care to know about your family history.� �Well I can assure you Ms. Davis.� Trevor politely exclaimed. �Ric�s mother is nothing like he claims her to be.� Ric just stood there with a look of contempt all over his face. �What? A family reunion and nobody invited me?� Sonny asked standing in the door. Alexis dropped her body back into her chair, placed her hands over her face and let out a loud scream. �I think she wants the two of you to leave.� Sonny said plainly. �I knew you�d show up sooner or later.� Ric said getting in his face. �So would you like to tell me what makes you think that I am going to allow you to play daddy to my daughter? If anybody is going to be tucking her into bed at night it�s going to be me�not YOU!� Sonny just looked at him and Ric stepped back. �Still letting other people intimidate you.� Trevor replied standing up. �I guess I didn�t teach you better.� �Stay out of this dad it doesn�t concern you!� �You know what Ric.� Sonny said cocking his head. �You had your chance to play daddy, but then went and screwed it all up by sleeping with your wife�s daughter.� �I guess you think that�s better then sleeping with her and then tossing her aside as soon as your Carly came knocking once again.� Ric replied. �You know what.� Alexis said getting up. �I�ve had enough.� She looked at Trevor. �I don�t know what it is you wanted, but now apparently isn�t a good time. Why don�t you call my secretary in the morning and she�d be happy to schedule you and appointment.� �Normal I wouldn�t allow somebody, even somebody as beautiful as you Alexis, to throw me out of their office.� Trevor replies as he grabs her hand and kisses it.� But since I have the utmost respect for you and can tell you or at your wits end.� He looks back at Sonny and Ric. �Thanks to these two lunatics. I will be happy to call you and set up a more appropriate time for the two of us to meet.� �Not in this life time.� Sonny announced. �I do not want you anywhere near her.� �Sonny please.� Alexis stated clearly enough for him to know now wasn�t a good time to start anything. �As for you Ric, I suggest you take your issues up with your brother in his office not mine.� �My issues aren�t with my brother.� Ric yelled �They are with you and the way you are raising my daughter.� �Our daughter.� She yelled back and looked over at Sonny. �And you��.I have no idea what you want but trust me now isn�t a good time to ask me anything.� �Alexis sweetheart if you are going to represent me you really need to return some of my phone����� Jerry said walking into her office, only to stop short as he looked around the room. �Apparently now isn�t a good time.� �You think.� Alexis asked annoyed. �Oh great another reason for me to take you back to court and sue for custody of Molly.� �If you plan on threatening the poor woman ever chance you get then why did you return her to her anyway?� Jerry asked bluntly. �Because I thought she was smart enough to stay away from criminals like yourself.� Ric replied. �Considering she married the likes of you�.� Jerry replied, then looked at Alexis �Sorry dear.� Alexis just half heartedly smiled. Ric was about to say something but Sonny pushed him back and cut him off. �Enough already�.Everybody needs to get the hell out of Alexis�s office right now!� Trevor walks over to Sonny and lightly smacks the side of his face. �You really need to learn how to control that anger in you my boy. Before you hurt somebody else you say you love.� He turns and smiles at Alexis. �I�ll see you tomorrow.� Alexis looks over at Jerry. �I believe we have an appointment.� She bites the bottom of her lip. �It�s just been cancelled.� �But my dear we have a lot of work to do.� Jerry replied. Alexis closes her eyes counts to ten in her head and opens them again. �Jerry I promise you we will go over everything first thing tomorrow morning.� Sonny walks over and stands next to Alexis. �She�ll help you find the best lawyers possible to replace her with.� �Sonny!� Alexis yelled. �You aren�t helping and we are so not getting into this right now.� She looks back at Jerry. �Please can we do this in the morning.� Jerry looks at Sonny and then at Ric. �Fine, it�s clear we won�t be able to get anything done tonight anyhow. I will be here at eight and I�ll bring breakfast.� Sonny was about to object but Alexis jabbed him in his ribs. �Breakfast at eight sounds great.� �It�s a date my dear.� He replies and leaves. �Okay Ric.� Alexis says before anybody can comment on Jerry�s last words. �It�s just the three of us now, so why don�t you tell me what your problem is, so I can get back to work.� Sonny grabs Ric by the arm. �Alexis if you don�t want to do this now I can take care of him for you.� Alexis tilts her head, closes her one eye and gives him that evil look of hers. And in turn he holds his arms up letting go. �Well it�s nice to know you care about me enough to not let your mobster boyfriend here kill me.� Ric taunts. �What can I say.� She replies. �I don�t want a blood stain on my carpet. I might not get my deposit back.� Ric can�t help but laugh at the sickness of her joke. �So tell me darling, loving ex-wife of mine. Do you and Sonny do it in your room or the so called room he�s �sleeping� in across the hall.� He can tell she�s about to lose it but can�t help himself. �Or do you take turns and go back and forth for variety?� �You are just plain sick Ric Lansing. I can�t believe I ever allowed myself to get so close to you, to actually��.dare I say it���fall in love with you at one time.� �Okay that�s it.� Sonny said grabbing Ric�s arm again. �You�ve crossed the line way to many times for one night. This conversation is over with, right now! So get out and stay out!� He yelled pushing him out the door and slamming it behind him. �See what you have done!� Alexis yells, catching Sonny off guard. �What I�ve done?� �Yes to what you�ve done. Thanks to you, the whole town thinks we�re sleeping together. Including the one man who wants to take my daughter away from me yet again.� �And would that be so bad?� �Having my daughter taken away from me?� Alexis asked not believing those words actually came out of his mouth. �No,� He replies with his dimples shinning through. �Sleeping with me?� Alexis�s mouth drops open as she falls against her desk, places her hands over her face and screams once again. �Was it something I said?� He smirks She takes a moment and then looks up at him. �You need to go�.Now.� �I actually just stopped by to see if I could entice you into having dinner with me.� She sits back down at her desk. �Sonny I really do have a lot of work to do. Not to mention I think we�ve spent enough time together for one day.� �Are you objecting to me wanting to spend time with my daughter and her mother councilor?� Her heart began to sink as the words came pouring out of his mouth, but she knew she had to hold her own. �Sonny can we talk about this when I get home.� �Home.� Sonny smiles as he walks out of her office. �It�s such a nice word.� |
