Chapter 5

Alexis walks through the doors of the Metro Court and over to the front desk. Excuse me but did Mr. Jamerson leave a message for me?

And just who is Mr. Jamerson? Jax asked walking up behind her.

She turns around and smile. Hes just a client Jax.

And just how well do you know this man? He asked jokingly

She tilts her head and slightly smiles at him. So how is my favorite ex-husband?

Apparently doing better then my favorite ex-wife.

That obvious, huh?

What do you say you let me buy you breakfast and well talk about it?

Ive already eaten breakfast thank you, but I will take that ear youre offering.

After you Madame. Jax states as he holds his hand out towards the couch in the main lobby.

She kisses him good morning as they make their way over and get comfortable.

So whats on your mind Alexis?

Where do I start. She replied rolling her eyes.

That bad, eh?

Well lets see.my nephew has totally lost his mind, my daughter thinks somebody is out to get me.but then again who can blame her when there are big tall men with no necks walking around carrying guns. She takes a deep breath. And the icing on the cake is that Sonny has moved in across the hall from me.

Jax gives her that youve got to be kidding me look.

Yeah yeah, hes been there for three days nowand three very long nights.

Why is he staying at Wyndermere and please tell me you and he arent.

We most certainly are not. She replied Gould at the insinuation.

So why is he there and more importantly how come you havent kicked him out?

She shakes her head and gives him thats easier said then done look.

He stands up. If you want him out of there Alexis just say the word and Ill take care of him myself.

She grabs his hand and pulls him back onto the couch. I dont want you doing anything. He doesnt like you as it is.

Alexis

Jax please I have bigger problems then Sonny being well Sonny. I dont know whats wrong with Nikolas and I dont know how to help him.

It could be nothing more then stress Alexis. Running the family business is very stressful.

Yeah I know, but its more then that Jax hes becoming very violent with people and basically just blowing it off like were all crazy or something. I dont know. hes just not himself Jax, and Im scared for him.

Have you spoken to him about it?

Lets just say weve had words.

He hasnt hurt you has he Alexis?

No.. She takes a deep breath. But he has.. She takes his hands in hers. You have to promise you arent going to confront him or do anything stupid if I confide in you, Jax.

Getting very upset. He has hurt you then.

No Jax, he hasnt. Just promise me that this will stay between the two of us, please.

Fine. He looks her straight in the eyes. I wont say anything to him for now.

Thank you. She takes another deep breath. Okay, last week Nikolas was perfectly fine from what I understand until Jerry showed up at Windermere  looking for me.and then according to Jerry. And yes I know what youre thinking but I believe him. .Nikolas just lost it and started being the crap out of him. I confronted Nikolas about it but that just caused him to get even angrier and he took it out on me..

If he hurt you Alexis all promises are off!

No, he just started in on me about defending Jerry, marrying Ric, sleeping with Sonny.and how he always has to clean up after me, when I take up with bad boys.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Jax replies. Its not like all his relationships were loving and pure.

The worse part about the whole thing wasnt what he saidits what he did when I told him I wasnt going to stand here and listen to him belittle my life and I went to walk away.

Alexis what did he do?

He yelled something along the lines of not walking away from him and he threw his drink at me. Jax was about to say something but Alexis wouldnt let him. Jax I swear in that brief instant  it was like Stefan was standing there. He reminded me so much of him and thats what scared me the most.

Alexis, Nikolas may be a lot of things but he is nothing like Stefan.

Jax if somebody was standing here trying to convince me that Nikolas was anything like my brother, Id tell them they were crazy. But this wasnt the only time Ive seen him lose his temper.and what Ive heard from other people Im afraid hes either going to hurt somebody so bad that even my great law expertise isnt going to save him .or hes going to hurt himself.

Alexis if he scares you that much, then you and the girls have got to move out of there.

Jax I cant leave him.not when he so desperately needs me.

And what about your kids Alexis? What if he losses it around them or worse..

Jax please dont even think that. Alexis replied cutting him off. Besides why do you think I havent kicked Sony out.

Does he know about his outbursts?

I havent said anything to him.hes not always as reasonable as you are Jax.

Youre afraid of what hell do to him if he finds out, arent you?

That and more importantly hell want the girls and I the heck out of there and hell make me choose between loosing them or leavening my nephew, when he clearly needs my help now more then ever.

Alexis I really think you should clue Sonny in.

Jax you promised you wouldnt say anything and I need you to keep that promise.

Only if you make me one.

Name it.

You promise me, if things get worse or he hurts you in anyway.and Im not just talking physical here Alexis.

She shakes her head like she understands what he saying.

You grab youre kids and you come find me right away. And I dont care what time it is.

Jax were going to be alright. You dont have to worry about us. There is no way Im going to allow things to get that far.

Then humor me, please.

I promise if anything happens from here on out Ill let you know. She stands up. Now I really do have to go but thanks for listening to me it really helped.

I didnt do anything.

Yeah you did. She kisses his lips lightly and walks away.
