CHAPTER 30

�Okay Corinthos you know the drill.� Mac said as he pushed Sonny into the interrogation room.

�Mac it�s my wedding day can�t we please��..�

�As soon as you tell me what happened to your lawyer Sonny, the sooner we can all go home.�

�I told you .. I have no idea.�

�Excuse me Commissioner Scorpio.� An officer said handing him some papers. �I thought you�d like to see this.�

Mac took the papers from him and then looked through them.

�Sonny don�t you dare say a word.� Alexis said walking into the room.

�He can either speak or have the evidence speak for him.� Mac insisted.

�I thought I told you not to come down here!� Sonny stated.

�You don�t have anything on him other than a grudge Mac.�

�Actually that�s not true.� Mac said smug. �We just pulled a piece out of the river feet from where Ms Miller was found and according to this the gun was recently issued to a one Sonny Corinthos.�

�Let me see that.� Alexis said pulling the papers out of his hands.

�Mac you know I didn�t kill Diane anymore then I hurt my useless brother.� Sonny stated.

Alexis gave him a stern look. �Didn�t I tell you not to speak.� She then looks at Mac. �This doesn�t prove my client shot or killed Ms. Miller.�

�Maybe not.� Mac said taking the file back from her. �But it does give us probably cause to hold him over night.� He opened the door. �So I suggest you tell your client here to make himself comfortable, because there�s no judge in his right mind who is going to release him on bail.� He adds before he starts to walk out. �Oh and by the way congratulations on the wedding.�

�The nerve of that man.� Alexis said as the door closed behind him. �Are you alright?�

�I�m fine.� He said as she wrapped her arms around him. �But can they really hold me overnight.�

She stood up straight and looked at him. �I�m going to fight this with everything I have� don�t you worry.�

�Alexis you know I can�t spend the night in jail.�

She gave him a look.

�What?�

�I need you to tell me as your lawyer and not as your wife that you didn�t do this.�

�I had more important things to focus on then killing my attorney� like marrying the woman I love.�

�You didn�t answer the question.�

�No I didn�t have anything to do with her death.�

She bends down and kisses him one last time before she picks up her briefcase. �I�m going to get you out of here if it�s the last thing I do.�

�I love you Mrs. Corinthos.� He says as the door closes behind her.

About an hour later Alexis is walking back towards the interrogations room when she over hears Lucky and another officer talking.

�I�m really sorry there�s no word on your brother yet.�

�I just hope he�s okay.� Lucky replied. �He hasn�t been himself lately and it�s not like him to just disappear like this.�

�I heard he didn�t even show up for his own Aunt�s wedding. Not that it was much of a wedding since the groom was arrested and is going to be charged with murder.�

�The groom isn�t going to be charged with anything.� Alexis said as she huffed her way over. �Not as long as I have anything to say about it.�

�Alexis.� Lucky said as the officer bowed his head and walked off.

�What is all this nonsense about Nickolas missing. Emily didn�t say a word.�

�She probably didn�t want to worry you on your wedding day.�

�When was the last time anybody saw or talked to him?� She asked

�I don�t really know.� Lucky nodded. �I thought it was less than a day but as it�s turning out it�s been longer than that.�

�Would you like to say your goodnights to your husband now Alexis or after we take him downstairs?� Mac asked as he walked past her and Lucky.

�Actually I plan on saying my goodnights before I turned the light off in the hotel suit we booked for the night.� Alexis smugly said as she handed him his walking papers.

�What judge in his right mind signed off on this?� Mac asked annoyed as hell.

Alexis opened the door to the interrogations room. She looked up at the officer standing over Sonny.�Please take the handcuffs off my husband, we�ll be leaving now.�

Mac nodded for him to do so and he did.

Alexis looked up at Mac.�You�ll have my motion to have this case dismissed in the morning for the illegal fabrication of evidence � and the harassment of my client.�

�Can you really do that?� Sonny asked once they left the room.

�No, but that won�t stop Mac from sweating.�

�Alright Sonny I need you to tell me when was the last time you saw Diane.� Alexis said as they walked into the honeymoon suite at the Metro Court.

�I don�t know.� Sonny answered somewhat annoyed.

�She turned and looked at him.� What�s the matter?�

�Alexis it�s our wedding night and we�ve done nothing but talk about Diane�s murder since we left the station.�

�And if you don�t mind I�d like to be able to spend the rest of my life with my husband not behind bars.�

He walks over to her and places his arms around her waist. �Can�t we put this off till tomorrow and concentrate on what�s really important right here and now.� He kisses her neck. �Besides if I�m going to go to jail I�d like to at least know I had the chance to consummate my wedding vows.�

�Sonny this isn�t funny.� She said pushing him away. �These are very serious charges and from what I can tell you don�t have an alibi for the time of Diane�s death.�

Sonny was about to object but there was a knock on the door. He mumbled something under his breath along the lines of what now before he opened the door. His attitude changed however when he saw room service standing there with a complimentary bottle of Champaign and everything else he needed to make this evening very romantic.

�What�s all this?� Alexis asked.

�Thank you and please don�t disturb us again.� Sonny said tipping him.

�Is this all your doing?�

Sonny smiled brightly before taking over her mouth with his. �Now there�s this outfit hanging in the bathroom that you need to go put on while I open that bottle of Champaign over there.�

�Okay.� She replied breathless.

A few moments later Alexis came out of the bathroom wearing one of the most elegant black see through stain negligee that Sonny has ever seen. �You take my breath away.� He said as he walked over to her and handed her a glass. �To my wife, my lover and my best friend.� He intertwined his glass with hers. �As long as I have you by my side there isn�t anything I can�t handle. I love you Mrs. Corinthos you have made me the happiest man in the world today by becoming my wife. I will love you for always.� He clicked their glasses together and she nearly cried as they both took a sip first from their own and then from each other�s glass. He then took her glass from her and placed it along with his own on the dresser. Carefully they made their way over to the edge of the bed and sat down. �It�s our night Alexis and I need you to promise me you�ll put everything else aside and focus on just that.�

�I can do that.� She replied trying desperately to hold back the tears.

He kissed her lightly before getting up and turning on some music. He held his hand out to her and she stood. With his arms wrapped tightly around her and hers around him they danced through several songs without so much as a word. Their hearts however spoke volumes to one another with every breath and every turn. They were both so much at peace with their selves, each other and the world. Nothing matter at that moment in time other then the two of them and the night that would define them as a truly loving married couple.

Alexis couldn�t take it anymore so she decided to take matters into her own hands and initiate the night. She stopped moving her feet and brought her eyes to his. He flashed his dimples at her as she began unbuttoning his tuxedo shirt. She made her way to the last button visible. He brought his lips to hers and carefully parted them with his tongue. As he entered it deep into her mouth she undid the buckle of his pant, followed quickly by his zipper. He waited for her to completely undo them before he slowly walked her backwards towards the bed allowing his pants to drop to his ankles. Careful as to not trip he stepped out of them and kicked them behind himself. They dropped as easily as they could onto the bed never braking the empowering kiss that was over taking their heart and soul with every breathless beat.

They wanted each other so much but at the same time wanted to take their time and make this night last forever. He took her hands in his and stretched them above her head. He looked deep into her eyes for a few seconds before running tiny little kisses along her neck line and down her chest. Her body tighten with such pleasure as the kisses grew into something more. She wanted him so badly that she could taste it and he knew it but yet still didn�t want to give into her desire to become one. He loved making her feel special and even thou he knew there were others was to do that than to torture her by making her wait he couldn�t help himself. He got a sick powerful feeling of control that�s he�s never felt before as her body tensed even more.

There was something different tonight in the way they started to make love. Something neither one of them have ever felt before but they knew after tonight could never live without. Their wanting for one another turned into needing and their slow sexual moves became faster as they became one. Neither one of them felt like they could breath when each thrush became stronger and more intense then the last. Their passion embarked on their soul as they continued to make love way into the night and early into the morning.
