Jax walked over to the DJ and took the microphone from him. �Can I have your attention please.� He started saying. �I would like to take this opportunity to introduce for the first time the bride and the groom�.Mr. And Mrs. Sonny Corinthos.� Everybody clapped as Sonny and Alexis entered the room arm and arm. Mike was one of the first people to go over and give them a hug and kiss. �Welcome to the family.� �Thanks Mike.� Alexis replied as he gave her a kiss. �You�re a lucky man.� Mike smiled at Sonny. Sonny placed his arm around Alexis and pulled her close. �Trust me I know it.� Alexis looked at Mike. �How come you weren�t at the wedding itself?� �Sonny and I talked about it and we both felt it would be for the better if I just waited to after the wedding to say my congratulations.� �Sonny, Mike is your father he should have been there.� Alexis replied as she turned to look at him. �Alexis.� Mike began to say. �Please don�t blame Sonny it really was my choice and if it makes you feel better I stood just out of sight and saw the whole wedding�.I even cried.� �Okay enough of this gushy gushy stuff.� Emily exclaimed as she pushed past Mike. �I want a hug.� �Emily thank you so much.� Alexis replied as they threw their arms around each other. �I could have never done this without you.� �Oh you didn�t need me Alexis.� Emily said kissing the groom. �You just needed Sonny.� �Mommy I�m hungry.� Kristina whined. �I�ll take her and get her something.� Emily said as they both took off. �You look beautiful Alexis.� Bobbie said as she walked over to them. �Thanks Bobbie.� Alexis replied as they hugged �Do I get one of those?� Jax asked as he held his arms out. Alexis smiled at him. �And this will be the last one you�ll ever get.� Sonny joked. �Don�t listen to him.� Alexis joked back. �Anytime you need a hug you know where to find me.� �Anytime?� Sonny questioned. �Anytime.� Alexis laughed. �Well Natasha you finally did it.� Luke said as he walked over and shook Sonny�s hand. �Do you mind if I kiss the bride?� �That�s up to her.� Sonny replied. �I�d be insulted if you didn�t.� Alexis replied �You two defiantly deserve one another.� Carly yelled as she made her way through. �What are you doing here Carly and where�s Jason.� Sonny demanded to know as he pulled her out into the hall. �Sonny please let�s not do this.� Alexis yelled as she followed them. �Not today and not in front of the kids. �Mom what are you doing here?� Michael asked as he ran over. �You weren�t invited.� Carly looked down at her son. �You�re right Michael I wasn�t invited and I shouldn�t be here.� �I�ll take you home.� Jax said as he stepped behind her and took her by the arm. �Alexis congratulations, you look amazing.� �Jax do you really have to go?� Alexis asked with tears in her eyes. �I think it would be for the best.� Sonny whispered in Alexis�s ear. �No Jax.� Carly said as she pushed his arm away. �Stay, you�re an invited guest. I can find my own way home.� �I�ll have one of my men drive you.� Sonny said as he called David over. �Just because I�m leaving.� Carly said firmly as she walked over to Sonny. �Doesn�t mean I approve of this wedding.� She gives Alexis the evil eye. �Or of your new used bride. I�m just leaving out of respect for our son. He�s going to go through a lot now that the two of you are married and unlike you I don�t want him subject to that much pain.� Sonny didn�t say a word as Carly stormed off. �Michael what do you say we go get something to eat.� Jax said as he motioned for Michael to follow him. �Who are you looking for?� Sonny asked as he noticed Alexis�s eyes searching the room. �Where�s Nikolas?� �I don�t know.� Sonny answered. �He was invited to the wedding itself but never showed.� �Did Emily say anything about him not coming?� �No in fact she said the opposite.� Sonny replied. �She said even thou he refused to except the marriage he would be here for you.� �What aren�t you telling me Sonny?� Alexis asked. �Did something happen to him and you just don�t want me to know until after the reception?� �I promise you Alexis I haven�t seen or heard from him in days.� �There�s just something about you that�s telling me your keeping something from me and it has to do with my nephew.� �That my love, is the Cassadine in you, that�s always reading to much into things.� He replied as he flashed his dimples. �May I have this dance?� He asked holding out his hand. �Not until you tell me what�s going on!� She exclaimed. �Alexis honey its our wedding day can�t we just leave the rest of the world behind for just one night and enjoy our day?� Sonny pleaded �I still think you�re hiding something from me Corinthos.� She said as she took his hand. �But like you said today is our day and we should make the most of it.� �Sonny we need to talk.� Mac said just as they were about to enter the other room. �What is it Mac?� Sonny asked clearly annoyed. Mac motioned for one of his escorting officers to walk behind Sonny and place him in cuffs. �What is the meaning of this!� Alexis screamed �Sonny Corinthos you are under arrest��..� Mac began to say. �He didn�t try and kill Ric, Mac and you��.� �This isn�t about Ric, Alexis.� Mac replied cutting her off. �Sonny is being arrested for the murder of his attorney Diane Miller.� Sonny and Alexis both looked at him. �That�s right Sonny your lawyer friend was found dead, mob style, floating face down in the PC river. The only thing missing we�re the concrete boots.� �Sonny had nothing to do with this Mac.� Alexis stated firmly. �We didn�t even know she was dead.� �I�m sorry Alexis.� Mac replied. �But your new husband here is our primary suspect and we have no other choice then to bring him down town for questioning.� �Mac please give me one minute with my wife before we go downtown.� Sonny pleaded. �One minute.� Mac yelled as they walked just few away. �I guess it wouldn�t be our wedding day if something like this didn�t happen.� Alexis stated with tears in her eyes. �You have to listen to me Alexis, I had nothing to do with this.� She looked him dead in the eyes. �You didn�t put a hit out on her?� He could tell she was getting more upset with every passing second. �I don�t want you to come to the station with me. I�ll call another attorney when I get there and I�ll be home before you know it.� �I�m not going to let you push me away Sonny. Especially now we you need me so much.� �This isn�t the way today was suppose to end Alexis, I�m so sorry.� He suddenly became enraged. �I�m going to make who ever did this pay!� �Sonny please don�t talk like that you�re in enough trouble as it is.� �Okay Corinthos let�s go.� Mac demanded as he pulled on his arm. �Don�t say a word Sonny � I�m going to get out of this dress and be there as soon as I can.� �Alexis, please��!� was all she heard him say as they drugged him out of the house. �Alexis maybe Sonny�s right.� Jax said coming up behind her and placing his hand on her shoulder. �Maybe you should let another lawyer take care of this.� �And what Jax?� She yelled. �Go back into the other room and dance the night away.� �That�s not what I was saying at all and you know it.� She ran up the stairs. �I have to get out of this dress and bring my husband home weather he likes it or not.� She turns and looks back at him. �I am not spending my first night as a married woman alone.� |
