CHAPTER 27 Alexis walks into District Attorney Ric Lansing�s office and is surprised to see Trevor sitting behind his desk rambling through it. �What do you think you�re doing?� Trevor looks up and smiles at her. �Ms. Davis I�m sorry for your lose.� �Ric isn�t dead.� Alexis yelled. �No I�m meant your up and coming conquest with my step son.� Alexis gave him an evil look. �Shouldn�t you be at the hospital with your son not here looking for evidence to put Sonny away?� Trevor stands up and walks over towards her. �Do you think Richard has anything on Sonny?� �Let�s just say the person who is about to go away for life isn�t Sonny.� �Ric has damaging evidence on himself.� Trevor said intrigued. Alexis laughed as she walked back to the door and called for one of the officers who were standing in the hall. �What can I do for you Ms. Davis?� Officer Jameson asked. She hands him a piece of paper. �This is Trevor Lansing and there is a warrant out for his arrest.� �You don�t have anything on me Alexis.� Trevor laughed. �That�s where you�re wrong.� Alexis smiled back. �I have proof that you�ve committed several crimes using several aliases.� She hands him a stack of papers. �Do any of these look familiar?� �Where did you get these?� He asked looking through them. �You do realize your off shore accounts have been frozen.� �I don�t have any off shore accounts!� Trevor replied. �Well then I guess you should have no problem proving that.� �I don�t know where you got this information from but it won�t hold up in court.� �If that�s what your basing your case on Trevor, then I feel really sorry for you.� Somewhat smiling. �I under estimated you, Alexis.� �You�re going way for a long time Trevor.� Alexis said in a satisfied tone. �And you my love our headed into a lifetime of hell.� Trevor said sarcastically. �And ask me if I�d trade places.� �Get him out of here.� Alexis said in disgust to officer Jameson. �You�re not going to get away with this Alexis.� Trevor yelled as he was escorted out. �What was that all about?� Jax asked as he walked past them. �Trevor Lansing is going to the big house and there�s nothing he can do about it.� Alexis half heartedly smiled as she picked up a picture of Ric and Molly. �You okay?� �Yeah It�s just so hard to believe that after everything Ric might still die.� �I heard Sonny brought in a specialist for him ��.� �For all the good it did.� Alexis sighed as she cut him off. �I don�t know how he�s holding on.� �Have you seen him since he�s been admitted?� Jax asked �I�ve checked on him several times and stood outside the intensive care unit but I haven�t actually spoken to him.� �Maybe that�s what he�s waiting for.� She looks like she�s about to cry. �Oh great my ex-husband is waiting to torture me one last time before he bids us all farewell.� Taking her hand in his. �I didn�t mean it that way�.I just meant maybe he wants to let you know that you and Molly are going to be okay before he lets go.� �And just what am I suppose to do with that Jax. I don�t want him to die and I sure as heck don�t want Molly growing up without a father.� �Molly has the best mother in the world and even thou that won�t take place of a father figure she�s going to grow up�..� �Neurotic and Paranoid.� Alexis said cutting him off. �No.� Jax laughed. �Loving and responsible�..Beside aren�t you and Sonny about to say I do.� He looks at his watch. �In less then three hours.� Letting go of his hands. �I�ve been thinking about canceling the wedding �..� �I think it�s a little late for that.� �No it�s not especially with Ric in the hospital��.� �Were you planning on inviting him?� Jax asked �Of course not.� �Then I don�t see what the problem is.� Alexis walked back behind the desk and sat down. �I can�t believe I said yes.� �Considering who you�re about to marry neither can I.� Jax laughed causing Alexis to at least crack a small smile. �But seriously I know this is what you want and there�s no way I�m going to allow you to do this to yourself.� �I honestly think Sonny will understand under the circumstances if we postpone the wedding for a few days�weeks �even months if that�s what it takes.� He walks over and pulls her to her feet. �For you to be able to say I do without passing out first�I doubt it.� �Where are we going?� She asked as he pulled her behind him. �To get you dressed.� ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* Meanwhile Sonny is back at Greystone. He can�t believe how elegant his ballroom looks as he walks inside. �So what do you think?� The wedding caterer asked from across the room. �I don�t think I�ve ever seen this room look this grand.� He replied as he looked behind him and saw the arch of light purple and pink Lily�s surrounding their table. �I believe you asked for white orchards in lily pods for centerpieces?� The caterer said as he pointed to the tables. Sonny walked over and picked one up and smelled it. �They�re perfect.� He looked around the room again. �Today is going to be just perfect.� �What is that stench?� Carly asked as she entered. Sonny walked over and grabbed her arm. �What are you doing here?� �I can�t believe you�re wearing a white Tuxedo!� She yelled clearly upset. �I would have though you would have called off this farce of a wedding by now!� �Carly back off.� Jason said �Jason you have to talk him out of this.� Carly pleaded. �Sonny does what he wants to do Carly and you know that.� Jason replied. Sonny threw Carly towards Jason. �Make sure she doesn�t disrupt the wedding or the reception.� �Don�t worry I�ll take care of everything.� Jason replied throwing Carly over his shoulder. �Put me down�Sonny don�t do this.� Carly yelled over and over again till she could no longer be heard. ^^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ �What are you doing?� Jax asked taking the phone from her. �I�m calling Sonny.� Alexis replied. �No you�re not.� Jax said pulling her into her bedroom. �Emily what are you doing here?� Alexis asked �She�s here to help you get dressed.� Jax said. �In less of course you�d rather I helped you.� Alexis smiled at him. �I honestly don�t think I can do this.� �What, put on a dress?� Emily said pulling her wedding gown out of its garment bag. Alexis looked at the dress and started to hyperventilate. Jax handed her a small brown paper bag and Emily laughed. �This isn�t funny.� Alexis said between inhales. �I told you I couldn�t do this�.what was I thinking.� �You were thinking about marrying the man you love.� Emily said putting her hand on her back. Alexis�s cell phone rings and she tries to answer it. �Alex�.Ale�Ale�..WHAT?� She finally yelled. �I take it your getting ready.� Sonny said smiling on the other end. �You just have to breathe.� �don��don�t��.don�t tell me to breathe�.� She yelled. �I love you Alexis.� He simply stated. �And in less then two hours, you Ms. Davis, are going to be my wife and together we are going to embark on a lifetime full of happiness�.. So I need you to calm down and just breathe.� Alexis�s breathing pattern started to become slower. �I�..I�.I do want to �..marry you.� �I know you do.� �I love you.� �I love you too.� Sonny said relived she sounded ten times better then when she first answered. �Now do me a favor and get that damn dress on and get your butt over here.� �I will.� �There�s a limo outside waiting for you. So the faster you get dressed the sooner it will be over and the honeymoon can start.� Alexis just smiled as she hung up her cell. �Feeling better ms. Davis.� Jax asked walking over to her. She handed him the paper bag. �I don�t think I�ll be needing this but just incase.� �I�ll keep it in my back pocket.� Jax smiled as a placed a loving kiss upon her. �Would you like me to help you get dressed?� Emily asked holding up the gown. �I�d like that.� Alexis replied. �I guess that�s my cue to get dressed as well.� Jax said leaving the room. �I really love your dress.� Emily commented �You don�t think it�s to much considering it�s a small wedding.� �Not at all.� Emily replied as Alexis sat on the foot of her bed and Emily began turning her into the most beautiful bride to be ever. |
