It�s been about a week and Alexis hasn�t heard anything from Nikolas or Emily about his condition. So she decided to go to Wyndermere and find out what�s going on for herself. She was just about to get on the barge when her cell phone rang. �Alexis Davis.� �Have you ever though how it would sound to answer the phone Alexis Davis Corinthos?� Her jaw dropped. �If that�s a marriage proposal�..� �Breathe Alexis.� Sonny laughed. �I just wanted to hear what it sounded like.� Trying to compose herself. �What do you want?� �Where are you?� �What are you going to ask me next?� She shot back. �What am I wearing?� �I wouldn�t have to ask if you didn�t climb out of bed so early and leave me stranded.� �You know it didn�t use to be so easy for me to slip out of bed without you knowing.� �I�ll have to work on that.� He laughed. �So seriously where are you?� �I�m just about to get on the barge for Wyndermere. I haven�t heard from Nikolas lately and I�m really worried about him.� �I don�t think that�s a good idea.� Sonny yelled in the phone. �You don�t need to worry about me Sonny.� She looks around. �It�s not like I don�t travel with my own set of bodyguards.� She looks up and notices Trevor Lansing standing next to her. �Listen I have to go. I�ll call you later okay.� �Alexis I really don�t want you going to Wyndermere without me.� Sonny insisted �Okay I promise I won�t.� She hung up the phone and looked at Trevor. �Mr. Lansing.� �So how is Sonny these days?� Trevor laughed. �Still as neurotic as ever?� One of Alexis�s bodyguards started to approach them but she waved them back. �What is it I can do for you Trevor?� �It sure is a lovely day.� He takes a deep breath. �To bad it�s going to rain later today.� She raises her right eyebrow. �Can�t say I heard the weather report this morning.� �You know you really should.� He looks down at her shoes. �High heels and rain just don�t play out well.� He looks back up at her. �And I�d really hate to see someone like yourself run across the street in the rain and accidentally twist your ankle and get hit by an on coming car.� �Are you threatening me?� He places his hand on her face. �Now why would I do a thing like that?� She smacks his hand away. �What do want Trevor?� �I just wanted you to let Sonny know I said hello.� She looks over his left shoulder and notices one of bodyguards on his cell. �Something already tells me he knows the extent of our conversation.� Trevor smiles as he looks back at the boys. �Well I guess his sorry excuse for employers have to be good for something.� He laughs and starts to walk away. �You should really think about changing those shoes.� One of her bodyguards turns to follow him. �No don�t.� Alexis stated firmly. �I take it you called Sonny.� �Just doing our job Ms. Davis.� He replied. �Do you have a name?� She asked �It�s David.� �Well David, I�m going to go see my nephew and I�d appreciate it if you and your friends waited here.� �I�m sorry but we can�t do that.� Annoyed. �Excuse me.� �Mr. Corinthos has made it perfectly clear that you are not allow to be out of our eyesight under any circumstances.� �Fine! I don�t have time to argue with you.� She says stepping onto the launch. �Sorry Ms Davis.� David said taking her arm and walking her back off the launch. �He also left complicit orders that you were to go no where near Spoon Island.� �You�ve got to be kidding me!� She yelled. �Are you telling me he doesn�t want me seeing my own nephew?� None of the men spoke. She pulled out her cell phone and dialed his number. �Hey gorgeous.� Sonny answered the phone. �I�m in the middle of something can I call you back in a few?� �No you can�t.� She yelled. �I take it from your tone that you didn�t keep your promise.� �I agreed to let your bodyguards follow me around to make you feel better.� She yelled louder then before. �However I never agreed to allow them to police me.� �Alexis you need to calm down before you hyperventilate.� �Don�t tell me to calm down. Tell your men to back off.� �Sweetie you really need to breathe.� �Breathe, breathe, you want me to breathe.� She replied extremely annoyed and short of breath. One of the bodyguards walked over and handed her a paper bag. She looked at him cross eyed as she took it. �Alexis are you okay.� Sonny yelled �We will deal with this later.� She yelled back as she hung up on him. She placed the bag over her mouth and tried to catch her breath. �Would you like to sit down Ms. Davis.� David asked walking up behind her. �Don�t touch me!� He held his hands up. �Should I get Mr. C back on the phone for you?� �Maybe we should call an ambulance?� A different guard asked. Alexis handed him the paper bag. �The only person who will be needing an ambulance is Sonny.� ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^* �Is there a problem.� Jason asked Sonny placed his cell back into his pocket. �Just a difference of opinion is all.� Jason just looked at him. �You have a problem with Alexis and I don�t you?� �If this is what you want who am I to say anything.� Sonny nodded his head. �What�s going on with the waterfront property?� �It�s still in negotiations.� �Are we any closer to getting Lansing out of town?� Jason just gave him that blank stare of his. �Sonny I don�t care what you are doing, we need to talk.� Carly yelled as she pushed her way past Max and into his office. �Sorry Sir.� Max stated. Sonny motioned for him not to worry about it. �Carly we�re in the middle of something.� Jason yelled back. �Sorry Jas but this takes priority.� Carly said patting him on his stomach. �Jason I�ll deal with her.� Sonny said clearly not amused. �Take care of that other issue we were dealing with.� Jason didn�t say a word as he left the room. �You can�t just barge in her at will, Carly.� �I want to know what you�re gonna do about your sluty girlfriend!� Sonny shakes his head and smiles. �I was thinking about asking her to marry me.� �What?� Carly screamed so loud she could of woken the dead. �Why would you even contemplate such an absurd idea?� �Contemplate, absurd.� Sonny laughed. �I think that husband of yours is having a bad effect on you.� �Why would you ask her to marry you?� Carly screamed again. �She won�t let me move in with her.� �She won�t let you move in, so you�re going to ask her to marry you?� Carly asked puzzled. �Have you lost your mind?� �Funny, people asked the same thing when I married you.� Sonny laughed. �This isn�t funny Sonny. You can�t be serious?� �I only mentioned it to you out of respect for the boys.� �Michael doesn�t even like Alexis.� Carly said cocky. �The boys love Alexis. They just don�t want to hurt your feelings.� Carly thought for a moment. �Please, please, please tell me she isn�t?� �She isn�t what?� �Oh my god she is, isn�t she?� �Move out of my way Max.� Sonny heard Alexis yell from the hall. �I�m going to kill your boss even if I have to kill you first.� �Hello my love.� Sonny smiled brightly at her. �Carly here was just leaving.� Carly gave him a stern look. �I am not going anywhere, until you tell me if I�m right or not?� �If your right or not about what?� Alexis asked Carly looked at Alexis. �If the reason you and Sonny are getting married is because you�re pregnant?� |
