It�s almost 10.00pm as Alexis unlocks her office door and turns on the light. �Sorry about earlier my love.� Jerry laughs as he swings around in the chair behind her desk. Alexis holds her hand up to her heart. �If you ever scare me like that again�.� She looks like she�s about to hit the floor so he runs over and catches her just before she faints. �Are you okay?� He asked as he brought her over to sit down.. �Just give me a minute.� She replies trying to catch her breath. �I really didn�t mean to scare you it�s just I needed to see you and I knew eventually you�d show up.� She looks up at him. �What were you going to do? Hang out here all night?� �If that�s what it took to see you.� He nods his head. �Then yes.� �Jerry��.. I have bodyguards and if they find you in here���� �Yeah yeah I know.� He replies sitting on her desk. �And just what is up with you and Corinthos anyway?� �That is none of your business.� She said firmly. �Now what do you want?� �I�m in trouble and you are the only one I trust to get me out of it.� �Legal trouble I take it?� She asked almost afraid. He looks at her and shakes his head. �Maybe coming here wasn�t a good idea.� �You�ve risked you�re life twice now to see me.� She stands up as he opens the door. �And you�re just going to leave like that.� She hollers as he closes the door behind himself. �Well alright then.� She mouths in disbelief as she sinks back down into her chair. �I guess that�s what I get for trying to help people.� �And just who were you trying to help, this late at night?� Jax asked as he knocked and walked in. She leans her head over the back of the chair. �Your brother Jerry actually. What are you doing here so late.� He walks over and kisses the top of her head. �Did you come to your senses and realizes Carly just isn�t the right woman for you.� �And this is why I love coming to visit with you.� He says smiling as he leans against her desk and picks up a file. �You never sugar coat things.� She takes the file from her and throws it back on her desk. �And just what is it about Trevor Lansing that�s perked your curiosity?� He asked picking the file back up. �Or are you just doing some dirty work for Sonny.� �I don�t work for Sonny.� She simply stated grabbing the file. �And I know you don�t like Sonny but like it or not we are together.� �Urggggggg���He yells as he places his face in his hands and bends down. �Say it isn�t so.� She hits him with the file. �You�ve know for sometime that things between Sonny and I were getting serious. So don�t even go there.� �I know.� He says with his hands out wide. �But thinking it and actually knowing it to be true are two different things.� She leans against her desk next to him. �Wouldn�t you like to know why your brother was just here?� He places his arm around her neck and pulled her close. �Not really� �I take it the two of you are fighting again?� �I just don�t know what to do with him Alexis. Her refuses to let me help, It almost as thou he doesn�t care.� She placed her head against his shoulder. �Maybe it�s time you let him fall. You can�t keep worrying about him like he�s a little kid.� �I know you�re right.� He kisses the top of her head and then leans against it. �But I just can�t let go.� She wraps her arms around him and he does the same. �You know I love you right? And I�ll always be there for you.� �And you know I love you too my favorite ex-wife.� He kissed the top of her head again. �And I�ll always be there for you.� �You two make me sick!� Carly said standing in the doorframe. �Oh please.� Jax replied. �You know there�s nothing going on between Alexis and myself so don�t even go there.� �I never though Sonny would take her back into his bed either and look where�s that�s gotten me.� Carly frowned as she pulled Alexis arms off of her husband. �Do you find this funny Alexis?� She asked annoyed as Alexis started to laugh. Alexis put her hands in the air. �No actually, I find it pathetic.� She walks behind her desk. �I don�t know why it is that you always feel threatened by me, when you�re always the one who gets what they want.� �Do I have something you want Alexis?� Carly asked putting her hands on her desk and leaning over. �No.� She replied putting her hands on the desk as well and getting right up in her face. �But apparently I have something you want.� �You bitch!� Carly yelled as she pulled her arm back to slap Alexis. �Okay then.� Jax said grabbing her hand before it made contact. �I think it�s time to go home.� He grabbed her by the waist picking her slightly off the floor. �Goodnight Alexis.� �Does everybody just come into my office to piss me off or something?� Alexis asked throwing herself down into her chair. Carly managed to kick her way out of Jax�s grasp. �You know if you have a problem being here�you can always leave.� Alexis folded her arms and looked her straight in the eyes. �Other then the otter lack of security in this place, I happen to like my office just fine. Thanks.� �You pretensions little��..�Carly screamed as Jax grabbed her once again. Only this time placing his hand over her mouth as well. �I�ll call you in the morning.� He replied walking out the door. �Ouch that hurt.� He yelled as Carly bit his hand. �This isn�t over Alexis. I want you out of here by morning.� Carly yelled over and over again as Jax literally had to carry her down the hall and toss her into the elevator. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ Several hours had past and Alexis still wasn�t home. Viola had gotten worried so she called Sonny on his cell. He tried his hardest to calm her down but with everything happening these days he couldn�t blame her for being paranoid. He told her he check her office and if she wasn�t there he�d call her back and let her know. A few moments after hanging up the phone with Viola, Sonny stepped off the elevator of the Metro Court offices. He smiled and shook his head as he noticed the light shinning under her door. He knocked quietly before opening it. His dimples grew deeper as he saw her sound asleep at her desk. Quietly he walked over and stood behind her. He played with her hair for a few seconds before pushing it off to one side. Slowly he placed tiny kisses on the back of her neck and whispered. �Hey beautiful. I hope you don�t plan on making this a habit?� �Depends.� She moans. �Are you going to wake me like this if I do?� �Maybe.� He laughed. �But a better solution would be for you to work at home.� �I might just have to do that.� She said as she opened her eyes. �Carly wants me out of here like yesterday.� �What�s Carly giving you a hard time about now?� She lifted her head and pulled his mouth to hers. �Who cares, she�s so not worth talking about.� She tries to read Sonny�s watch. �What time is it anyway?� �Somewhere around four am.� �Oh no.� She pushes him back and stands up. �I�ve got to be in court in less then five hours.� She starts pushing papers around her desk like crazy. �I have over six hours of work to do before that.� She drops everything and looks up at him. �And there just isn�t enough time in the day.� �Come here.� Sonny says holding out his arms to her. She snuggles in his arms and pouts. �This isn�t helping.� �Couldn�t you just ask for a continuance or whatever it is you do.� �No Sonny, I just can�t ask for a continuance at the eleventh hour.� �Why not?� He smiles. �What am I suppose to say. � Ummm excuse me judge but I need a continuance because ��.. well there just isn�t enough time in the day.� He lifts her chin so their eyes meet. �I was think something more along the lines of, because my boyfriend wouldn�t stop��..� H smiles at her brightly and then whispers in her ear. She starts to bite her lip and smile but suddenly her jaw drops. �I don�t think so.� She laughed hitting him in the chest. �Does this mean the offer is off is off the table.� �Let�s just say you got your postponement.� She says pulling him into a deep kiss. �Now get out of here so I can get some work done.� Wrapping his arms around her. �Can I help.� �Have you gotten a law degree in the last five minutes?� She joked. He pulls her into another passionate kiss. �Okay I�ll go, but you really need to stop working like this.� She lays her head against his chest. �I know�I know�It�s just I have way to many clients and as soon as I can get out from under a few of them things will calm down.� �I have a simpler solution.� Sonny said playing with her hair. �Oh yea and what�s that?� She asked �Come back and work for me, explicitly.� �I still had other clients when I worked for you Sonny.� �I know but this time around things can be different.� She looks up and him and closes her eyes. �I�ll think about it.� She opens her eyes. �But I�m not making any promises.� �I can live with that.� He replies hugging her tight. �Do you always have to get your own way?� �Yep.� |
