| CHAPTER 15
�Cassadine we need to talk.� Sonny announced as he walked into Nikolas�s study at Wyndermere. Nikolas didn�t move from his chair. �How did you get in here and by the way what makes you think you can just send your men over here to pack up my nieces and their nanny and move them out!� �I�m not here to argue with you Cassadine.� He says walking up and standing right in front of him. �I�m here to give you a little warning.� Nikolas just looked away from him and laughed. �You don�t scare me.� Sonny grabbed him by his shirt. �You listen to me you little weasel. The only reason I�m even considering letting you live is because If I killed you it would devastate your aunt. Now I don�t know if it�s the poison Jerry injected you with or if your just plain screwing with people.� He pulls on his shirt so hard he slightly lifts him up. �But if you ever lay a hand on Alexis again��..nephew or no nephew I will have you killed.� �Not even man enough to do it yourself, are you?� Nikolas shot back. �You talk a good game but you have no follow through.� �You have no idea how much I�d love to knock your teeth out right now.� �Then why not do it.� Nikolas yelled pushing Sonny off of him. �Come on Corinthos show me what your really made of.� Sonny just shakes his head. �Your not worth it Cassadine.� He turns to walk away. �I guess bedding my aunt does have it�s advantages.� Nikolas said edging him on. �I wonder how long it will be before you get her pregnant and push her aside again for Carly. How many kids would that make for you anyway?� Sonny turned back around. Nikolas walks over and pours himself a glass of Scotch. �We both know my aunt is nothing more to you then a gullible, hot body whose apparently good enough in bed for you to take for another ride around the block!��.Then again you don�t have more then one kid with the same woman, do you? I guess my aunt should consider herself what��..the chosen sluty one?� �You know for a person who claims to love his aunt you sure do talk crap about her.� Nikolas throws his drink back and pours himself another one. �The only difference between you and I, where Alexis is concerned is I�m not sleeping with her.� He throws his drink back and then slams it across the room. �Now get out of my house before I kill you.� Sonny walks right over to him. �Better men then you have tried to killed me and yet here I stand.� Milo comes running into the room holding out a gun. �You want a piece of me Cassadine you better take it now.� Sonny added �But you better make it worth ending your life over.� Nikolas looked over Sonny�s shoulder at Milo. Sonny harshly pushed Nikolas back into his chair. �I�m only going to repeat this once because I want to make sure you understand me. If you so much as touch a hair on Alexis�s head I�m going to kill you.� *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ Alexis is back in her office pacing the floor. �I swear I�m going to kill the man.� She mumbles to herself. I told him I needed to see him right away and he said he�d be right here�.so where is he?� She stops pacing the floor and stands up straight. �And more importantly why am I standing in my office talking to myself��.. waiting for him like some school girl who has a crush on the most popular boy in school?� Her aggravation and paranoia begin to get the better of her. �He probably ran into Carly on his way over here�..and they�re probably��� She leans over her desk and picks up her cell. �Well if she�s who he really wants ��which we all know he really does ����.then he deserves everything he�s about to get.� �Sorry to keep you waiting?� Sonny said as he leaned the front of his body against the back of hers and waved a bouquet of roses in her face. �And I willingly except any punishment you think I deserve.� Alexis smilingly bites the bottom of her lip and smells the flowers. �Where have you been?� He drops the roses on her desk and swings her around to face him. �I had an important errand to run.� He replied just before pulling her into a passionate kiss. She puts her hands on his chest and pushes him back just enough to be able to talk without his lips pressed against hers. �There�s something really important we need to talk about���How�s Carly?� He starts to unbutton her suit coat. �I haven�t seen Carly lately, so I wouldn�t know.� Pulling her shirt out of her pants he asked. �Is anybody going to die if we don�t have this conversation this very moment?� �No.� She answered him grabbing a hold of his hands. �But I think we should discuss it now.� Looking oh so disappointed. �Do you have any idea how much fun we can have right here on your desk?� �Sonny seriously there�s something I think you need to know.� �Okay, what is it?� He asked letting go of her. �What dire information do you have that you think I need to know.� She picks up the papers of the phone log and hands it to him. �Is this suppose to mean something?� He asks. �The number belongs to Trevor Lansing and the number I have circled several times belongs to your lawyer, Diane Miller.� �Trevor and Diane working together would explain a lot.� Sonny calmly stated. �You don�t seem surprised by this.� �I had a feeling somebody was working against me from the inside. But I would have never guessed that person was Diane.� �I made a few phone calls this morning as soon as I got this information, and I have people working on getting me the proof I need that this phone is without a doubt Trevor�s.� Sonny walks over and leans against Alexis desk. �She�s my attorney Alexis, how much trouble could I be in?� �That all depends on how much of your business you do in front of her.� She replies as she leans against her desk next to him. �I suggest you don�t make any sudden moves or let her know you suspect her until we can figure out just what it is she has on you.� He turns and looks at her. �Does this mean your on my pay roll again Ms. Davis?� �Lets just say it means I�ve got your back.� Sonny places his hand on her back and starts to rub it. �I don�t know what I ever did right in my life to have you on my side, but I sure am glad we�re working with each other and not against.� She places her head against his. �I�ve always been on your side Sonny. You were just to preoccupied to notice.� Smiling. �So where do we go from here councilor?� �For starters I need to know everything you believe Diane knows.� �I can get that to you.� She pushes her shirt back into her pants. �Hopefully you didn�t talk as openly in front of her as you did with me.� He gave her a strange look. �I never trusted her the way I trusted you.� �Good.� She said walking behind her desk and sitting down. Sonny turned to look at her. �Alexis is there something else going on here? Am I missing something or are you deliberately keeping me in the dark.� �I have no idea what your talking about.� �I felt it the other day when Carly showed up at the Lake House and you basically blew it off with some lame excuse, but I let it go figuring you�d let me in when you were ready.� He places his hands on her desk and leans in. �But for some reason whatever it is that�s bothering you seems stronger now.� Se looks up at him. �And they call me paranoid.� �Alexis.� �Sonny, we have work to do and I think we should concentrate on that.� �Okay fine I won�t push.� He replies pulling over a chair and sitting down. �But sooner or later Alexis you�re going have to trust me enough to let me in.� She looks at him with a sadden look planted on her face. �I do trust you Sonny.� �Then tell me what�s going on with you.� �I just have a lot on my mind with Nikolas and now with the possibility of you going to jail��..� �If she had enough on me wouldn�t she have already used it?� �It all depends on what their agenda is.� She gets up and paces the floor. �Is it to destroy you or own you?� |
